How are you supposed to be able to guide that one ship to it's transport. I don't have enough health and they keep destroying the ship before I can get to it. I keep hearing it's easy but it's hard. It need's a massive boost. I spend 60k in space credit's and I have nearly NOTHING to show for it. Remove it or reboot it.

Not sure what mission you mean right now, but when you click the mission on the galaxy map it usually states what kind of upgrades you need.

With this in your mind you can get your ship upgrades at nearly all planets and your imperial/republic fleet.

Are you talking about the very first space mission?

Shoot out the frigates' turrets and shoot down fighters. No upgrades are necessary for that first mission. If you've spent 60k credits, as you say, you probably even have some upgrades, so this should not be of any difficulty.

I've never had a real problem with space, but those escort missions are the only ones I've failed on. Blow up everything you can that's shooting at the transport as quickly as you can, and don't forget you have missile. "Walk" four of them across the turrets of a frigate, then shoot either at more turrets you didn't target with missiles or incoming fighters.

Yeah hate to agree with the learn2play but in this case its true.

Learn the few tricks that are possible in the space minigame (like multiple missile launches) and most of the missions are easy.

Get a feel for how long it takes to blow a target up so you're already shooting the next one without having to wait for a confirmation explosion.

Get the best ship upgrades available for your level. Check out the GTN for player made ones, these are much better than the shop ones for their level range.

Kill turrets. Most missions have you encounter the same big ships several times, which means if you blow off their guns early on when they reappear they're pretty toothless.

That's about it.

Does a day go by where you DONT complain about something?

I stopped doing the space missions because they were just too easy. Maybe a few I havent done are a bit harder, but they just felt like time wasted compared to my class storyline.

Given that a great number of people are able to complete those missions with ease (including myself), I would consider the following:

Instead of demanding something be made easier, perhaps I should try to improve my skills, thus overcoming the challenge and feeling more accomplished?

There are some things that video game designers over the years have made far too difficult, either for the reward presented or for the skill level of the intended playerbase.

Space combat in SW:TOR is not one of these things.

You cant be serious, space missions are so easy..... I think I've failed like twice in the whole time I've been playing (7 weeks) and cause those 2 times I was watching tv and talking to gf while playing lol and I only JUST failed at that.

I think I failed the first time I did the Impossible Sector, because I didn't know how little time I had to destroy the minelayer.

dont be afraid to burn missiles. some missions you have way more than you need.

you can move your ship with WASD while you keep the crosshairs on your target. this help avoiding asteroids, or incoming attacks.

spam spacebar during high dmg phases too, this will reduce incoming damage

Holy crap... Space missions are one of the easiest things in the game... hate when players suck at something they want it made easier for them and screw it if it takes the enjoyment out of it for anyone else.

Use missiles on the captial ships' turrets.

Hold the left mouse button down and rapid fire your blasters at all of the enemy fighters.

If there are no fighters to shoot at for a moment then focus your blasterfire on the capital ships' turrets as you launch your missiles.

If you continue to have problems try purchasing upgrades for your ship if you haven't already. More missiles and better blaster damage/performance will help especially with the escort mission(s).
