I downloaded the 12.1 AMD beta driver which supposedly increases performance.don't see a difference.maybe im setting it up wrong.. it worked awesomely the first week I had the card. But my question is Radeon 6750?Really unable to run it on high.I mean COME ON I've read comparison sites that show it should.and even when I went on the imp fleet and had everything on low the fps did not change...help? Ringzero
I have a 6870 that barely keeps it above 30 fps in some areas. I'm running 1920x1080. Don't believe sites that tell you your card should be able to run it on high. There are sites that are called something like "Can my system run this?" that I've checked on. Two of them said that my 3-year-old work laptop with an integrated graphics chip far exceed the SW:TOR requirements. BS. I have a friend who who has a GTX 580 and forced AA at the card. Brought his FPS down to 60 and that's for a top-tier card. SW:TOR is a demanding game, like it or not. I can hit 100+ in some areas and hover at 30-35 in others. It's true that they could optimize it more than they have, but for now, it is what it is. Turn down the settings or get another card. You said that you had no problems a week ago, but now it's bad. What was your FPS before? What is it now? Did you change anything on your computer, like adding programs or changing settings? What's your FPS out in the trees and what is it when staring at the floor indoors with no one else around? What are your other system specs? You updated your video drivers. Did the bad performance happen before that or after that? Edited January 6, 2012 by Ringzero
iReboot
So how do I get my fps problems to be removed than?Whats your catalyst manager set at and are you overclocking?I seriously need help <..> I don't have the catalyst manager on my computer, I am using a Mac to play swtor on. I average about 55 fps on high and in pvp about 35. I did set the properties of the program to run as Windows XP compatibility Service Pack 3, try that to see if that helps. I also have 8 gigs of memory with an 8 quad i7 Chip.

You don't have FPS problems. Anything above 30 is completely great. I don't understand what you're asking for. What's the problem? Do you have stuttering or something? Because your FPS is beautiful. blowmedown
Well what am I supposed to do.it isn't fixed O.o As i stated before buy a better GPU or live with what you have their alot of factors that change performance of items in your PC. What works in a system running windows 7 64 bit 8gb of 1600 memory, and a faster CPU will not perform the same way with say windows xp 32 bit older system with slower hardware. blowmedown
If its the GPUS problem than why is the guy a bit before me saying its running great O.o Did you see where he was running a i7 chip with 8GB of memory. What's your OS, CPU, MB chipset, and amount/speed/type of memory?
Ringzero
It is stuttering and the combat is sluggish Please state your entire computer's specifications. Also run an Internet connection test at http://speedtest.net/ to determine what your Internet connection speed is. Your FPS is fine under normal circumstances. If performance drops off during a big fight with lots of effects, that's normal. It's hard to say what might cause stuttering, especially since it doesn't seem to be related to your card's performance. Are you certain you're not running a virus scan at the same time? Have you checked your computer for malware? If during stuttering and poor visual experience your FPS still remains at the numbers you gave, then it may not be your GPU hardware. It's also possible that you're just expecting too much. My 6870 isn't perfectly smooth all the time either, but 95% of the time I don't notice anything. I can be rocking 60 FPS and still see stuttering at times. Edited January 6, 2012 by Ringzero

Jaxxar
We need more information about your computer then just your video card. What OS are you running? Windows 7 64bit allows you to have more then 3GBs of RAM.What Hard Drive do you have? If it has a slow read rate that can cause problems. What CPU are you using? More and more games are relying on more computing power. What kind of motherboard are you using? What is your Bus Speed. What kind of RAM are you using? Not all RAM is created equally. How much RAM do you have? 2 GBs is not going to give much performance boost. What Resolution are you running? Your video card might be having a hard time rendering in a higher resolution. Do you have a large enough power supply to compensate for the power consumption of your card? a 300 Watt power supply is not adequate. Are you playing on a laptop? Most laptops are not meant for gaming purposes. What kind of internet connection do you have? Low or bad connections can cause many forms problems.Have you port forwarded bioware's gaming ports on to your computer on your router? There can be all kinds of problems why your performance does not match a person with a similar card. We need more information, run a DXDIAG and then post it here for us to go over.
