Murasakikitsune
So some of the real nitty-gritty in a culture is what they all enjoy doing in everyday life. All those clubs and cantinas seem to play Jazz, Big Band and the like, but there certainly has to be a wider variety. Just as what is played thusfar mirrors what we often listen to in real life, would it be unreasonable to incorporate real-world musical interests within the game? Sure there's no real way to actually share music in-game, but it would be nice to have some sort of reference that a character can give to another to demonstrate their interests. Would it be reasonable in RP to reference real-world songs or even band names, perhaps given that the overall sound is relatively fitting for the particular culture it's from? BarneyBash
the royalties alone would kill the game especially now that it's FTP and dependent on the market for it's income
TriggerBlade
Saying real world band names would break the fourth wall. It also breaks immersion which is my beef with most fanfiction. Real world genres however would make 100% sense. Still, pop culture doesn't just mean music.
