The JK kill's the current voice, a human male, but not the Emperor himself. This does manage to wound and or weaken the Emperor significantly. A new voice has not appeared. The Republic thinks the emperor is dead, as do many in the empire, but other than his silence post the JK killing the voice there is no confirmation of his death.
