Rrusalka Posted August 21, 2018 Share Posted August 21, 2018 They are cosmetic weapons. You get them for the look and because they are a custom shell. Then you add a hilt, mod and enhancement to it. They do, indeed, have almost no stats of their own, but that's because they have slots for "modifications" (hilts, mods, and enhancements, generically called - by me, anyway - mod-objects) that give them their stats. If you don't put those things in, the poor thing doesn't have any stats. While levelling, you can buy mod-objects from the "Level X Modification Vendor"s on the Fleet (in the Supplies section), and if you prefer the looks of a CM weapon of any kind, you can extract the mod-objects from "end-game" gear ("Command Crate drops") and put them in your CM weapon.
