What are your fun memories from in game?

I'll start it off...here are three that popped into my mind.

Three of the best things that happened to me in game.

1) I saw my buddy kill a much higher level player on voss on a pvp server. He was lvl 43’ish on his assassin and stealthed up behind a pub player who was 50. My buddy is a WOW vet and VERY pvp-centric RED = DEAD is his in game motto, no matter what. The pub player was waiting for an elevator and my friend’s assassin popped up behind him and pushed him over the ledge. The pub toon fell to his death.

2) On POT5, back when there were specific open world PVP servers, my friends and I were on Alderaan and started getting ganked by some level 50 pub toons. Now, I’m not great at PVP, but I had leveled some pub toons up via Warzones because some of the warzones are fun. I had a pvp suit in legacy gear. I switched over to my pub toons and sent the pvp suit imp side and switched to a 50 of my own. The gankers did not have pvp suits, and tried a couple times to mess with us again. They left us alone after a few trips to the respawn site.

3) Conquest loss on Prophecy of the 5 (pvp server). Before the last server merge my main server was POT5. I had my guild there (<Dead Wookiee Storage>) and for awhile hardly anyone was doing conquest so I was able to not only get on the ladder, but occasionally take the number 1 spot and “win” the planet. It was obvious that I wouldn’t be able to do that for ALL of the planets so I put a few toons into some of the larger guilds that did conquest and usually one. One week, when one of the objectives was the Yavin IV weekly, I chose to invade the same planets as one of the other guilds I had a toon in. Rather than get the points on THAT toon, and thus be able to get the title for my legacy of toons, I decided to go after it with my “private” guild. Almost the entire week my guild and the “real” guild with other actual players are neck and neck. I’d get some points, they’d get some points. It went on like that for 4 days. I could see all of the chat about it in their discord, which I was a part of because my toon was in their guild. “Those Dead Wookiees are coming out of nowhere” was a favorite comment I saw. In the end I didn’t win. The player in the other guild who was most concerned about winning managed to get another guild to agree to 4-5 hours of pvp to bump up the points the last night of the week, while I was asleep as I had to work Monday morning. I lost by around 30k points. I don’t remember exactly how much we had between our guilds, but the winning amount was enough I wouldn’t have been able to make it up. During that week I used my main 2 accounts. I got a friend to log back in and earn some crafting points. I had four different F2P accounts that I never use with some level 50ish toons that I logged in for crafting points. I converted two of the F2P accounts to subscription accounts (bringing the total subscribed accounts to 4) so I could do the Yavin weekly on those with the free “max level” token. I used every possible means I could to get as many points as I could. I had a blast that week, it was so much fun! In the end, the guild with the most actual people won out…which really, is what should have happened.

--Looking back, I COULD have won. I know exactly what I could have done to be sneakier about it, and it absolutely would have worked.

Truthfully it's kind of hard to select a few … there have been many !

I do love the stories through out the game. A couple of planets I was glad to get off of ! I really did enjoy getting to meet the new companions from the DS ( I play primarily LS).. Vette / Gault / HK-55. Honestly some of the one liners were just too funny to miss ! The gold heist in chapter 13 KotFE (Profit and Plunder) was great fun both watch and play !

The LS Smuggler / gunslinger story was a lot of fun … but would have preferred that there was more "fun" with Risha (she seemed a bit too on edge .. and not in a good mood most of the time)… I could see where Vette would have been a blast in the same role ! HA ! As it was I had a lot more fun with some of the choices I was able to make with the Smuggler !!

At any rate: Over all there are also just so many details through out that really have made the game fun.. Not just a second job !

I'd like to see more of that in the future as well !!

First time I hit Coruscant. Even though I don't go there much now, I still remember playing with my friend and the feeling we had when we 1st got there.

Getting my 1st Char to level 50 - i was gonna save the WHOLE galaxy. :)

I also loved the turns in the Agent's story. (the Agent's ship was the best too imo)

I liked Kixi the slicer. I freed her every-time. Wish she could have been a companion.

There's more for sure...

Decent players/people, great RP, especially open world RP where people actually joined in, levlling for the first time, or the first time doing the stories with no spoilers, and being surprised by some of the outcomes. Enjoyed walking around the smaller planets descovering the check points, untill i reached tat or hoth and it became a pain...lol. Finding missions you didn't know were there.

Saving the wipe at the hover tanks in Explosive Conflict.

It was a guild run, and we weren't that great at what we were doing. We had the rhythm of the adds-mechanics down more or less correct, but in the end we failed the DPS check, and the tanks enraged at around 5% health each, maybe a little more.

I was (fortunately) placed off to one side ratther than in between the tanks, so the other one was out of range (and I was out of its range, more to the point). They laid waste to my fellow guildies in no time flat, but I dug in my heels and refused to die. Er. Gunnery Commando in reasonably strong gear.

So I got into the swing of the rotation. The fight was far enough along that it was "just" spank-and-tank, except that I was having to spank *and* tank *and* heal. Vortex, Demolition, Boltstream, Grav, Boltstream, Grav, and all the other spanking goodness, combined with Adrenaline Thingy, Reflect-O-Bubble, and all the keep-me-alive goodness.

And then there was just one tank. And my guildies cheering me on in Discord.

So I breathed, and then went for the other one. Rotation rotation rotation wreckage, and the crowd went wild!

Good times.

What are your fun memories from in game?

I will go to my grave with my guild mates reminding me and anyone who will listen what happened to me during a run of Scum and Villainy. There's a point where one must get into an elevator before the room you're in fills with poison gas, and it was my first time through, so the person on our voice chat who was directing things said "everyone get in the elevator!" So I did. Then she said "Now everyone out!" So I got out.

I never pressed the blue button to take the elevator down, she never mentioned that.

I died. Great laughs for all.

My guild, since I was until very recently with money issues the guild leader, the goal is to kill me (that honor now goes to my second-in-command who's filling in for guild leader for a while). So there's various bridge bosses, etc., where anyone with a big mount just stands near one of the holes in the bridge, and then someone not remembering there are holes there runs into them (and down to their deaths). And various other ways, especially using extrication to drag someone to the edge of a cliff, etc. The same woman who directed the S&V operation above is also the same person who is most adept at killing me. SNEAKY!

My guild told me that there was something wrong with the Rishi stronghold bridge on the ship in that stronghold. I had spent HOURS decorating just the bridge to be a gay rave / casino / entertainment area (guild's not gay, just me). So anyway, there I am with one of my officers telling me that there's something wrong and I need to go look, and I'm hyperventilating thinking that the officer had accidentally lifted all the decos and killed all my hard work.

Well, I'm fond of male dancing twileks. I have 30+ of them in my collection and trust me there were plenty on the bridge. So I get there, and everyone in the guild is logged on as a male twi'lek that they had created just for that, and they're dancing! It was great fun and best surprise ever! And again... pulled off by the my favorite guild-leader killer. You go Denise! That was fun and a great and wonderful effort on everyone's part. Got me good on that one.

In Valley of the Machine gods, you don't have to kill the last boss, you just have to survive. With seven of us dead, including me, I'm thinking okay, this is our last wipe of the night on this and then we're bagging it until next time, because the last man standing had just a tiny scrap of health left. We're all sitting around voice chat holding our breaths thinking it's over. He survived. Yay! Very satisfying feeling.

I will always love getting into voice chat with my guildies and getting into conversations about stuff. Sometimes we get into conversations that have nothing to do with anything about the game, or only in a tangential way.

And the best for last:

And, happy also will I always be, and eternally grateful as well, for all of my guildies who've put in their time and effort keeping the guild going, the web site going, our Discord alive and interesting, the people who've paid serious money to keep web site subscriptions going, the generosity to me by a lot of guildies who paid for a new graphics card for me via a GoFundMe when mine died, to all the generous people in the guild who used one particular guildie's referral code so she'd have enough cartel coins to transfer toons to our new server...

...and if I've left anything or anyone off, it's from the sheer volume of generosity over the years from everyone.

Good people make good guilds great.

*Somewhat in game, but meeting people online that I ultimately became friends with on Facebook.

*Learning what an 'interrupt' was. :D I came from SWG where we didn't have interrupts. There was a specific boss I was having a hard time beating in this game and I was getting destroyed. I googled it, sent me to Youtube and quickly found out how important interrupts are. "oh, that's what that ability is".

*Learning how to tank. In SWG we didn't have tanks, aggro went to whomever had the most dps.

*Learning what a 'threat drop' was. Needless to say, I learned a lot about mmo's from this game.

There's really not a lot that stands out other that what I mentioned. There's a thread that started a number of years back titled, 'The weird people you meet in group finder" that's in the 'Flashpoints, Operations and Heroic Missions' section of the forums that details a lot of similarities that I've been through. You can probably handpick any number of those that I've witnessed over the years.

I came to this game primarily because it was Star Wars and wanted to play another mmo when we found out SWG was being shutdown. I played KOTOR 1 and 2 and figured this would be fun, which it is. The original class stories in this game are phenomenal. Watching dps pull and get destroyed when I'm tanking or healing is always fun. :D Honestly, there's just too many memories to sift through.

My best memories of the game are PVPing with other players back in the day on TEH.

I had fun running with guys in guilds that were above my skill level in PVP, most likely because I played heals 90% of the time and any heals at all would do fine with 2-3 awesome players. :D

Anyway, my best memories are playing lowbies, mids, and 65s when all tiers of PVP were busy. Back then I ran into lots of premades too, when I'd solo queue.

I ran into many premades on TEH; The Core, Republic, Guerrilla, Hex, and then Arvengis and his annoying all stealth groups that spawned bad teams at their spawn points back when players made troll groups just for the fun of it.

Oh, I miss being in the guild <Animus> and trolling the server forums for PVP to drum up competition. Our guild had a small run at being kings of lowbies, mids those were fun times, too.

Shout out to Yolk, Juricane (who I still see on the game periodically and is still an awesome operative) and all the others I got to group with back in those days, those were the days!

Even when I wasn't in a guild, there were so many players PVPing back then I'd just log in, search my list for pals, send tell and find someone to group with.

When you build your lightsaber in the Knight storyline. That was probably my favorite moment in the game. It still gives me chills, it's just such a magical moment.

Basically every moment as the Smuggler. Just being the biggest, most sarcastic, and flirty playboy that he is is just so damn fun.

The first trip to Coruscant. The planet just felt so massive, and after hearing about it and seeing brief moments of not on the movies, you FINALLY get see it firsthand and explore it.

Yep. We had some fun in those days. I wish it was like that now.
