How does everyone make so many creds?

Well, unless there's a high-priced item you are saving up for, I'd have to say the profits are not worth the effort. As I keep saying, the credits are just imaginary in-game currency. Unless you want to risk "credit-selling", making huge amounts of credits is not meaningful or profitable, in real-world terms.

Of course, if that's what you enjoy doing, then by all means continue. For quite a while when I played Guild Wars I was heavily into selling in-game items because I enjoyed it. The "credits" or whatever GW currency is called (I don't recall) are probably still sitting in my GW bank, unused (unless the account's been hacked... again :) )

So, I don't recommend to any new players that they get into buying and selling things on the GTN unless they really like buying and selling, and taking risks. Of course, since it's imaginary "money" there's no real risk. :)

That's why people buy/sell it's enjoyable for them.

I agree with Zurules, with crafting it's profitable especially with augments. As he said also, you just need credits starting out but that's not hard either. Just get enough to craft a few augments and from there you can build credits pretty steadily.

This is true, but with hypercrate nowadays they are so much harder to sell, unless you are wiling to knock off about 40 mill. Most go for about 200, and can be up there for a while. But if you put it up for about 150/160 mill, it will usually sell before first time around.

Idk about selling but on my server last I checked they aren't selling for that price either. They're going for around 140m so if you want to sell fast just undercut a few to 10mil & bam.

Putting at 200mil, yeah you're not gonna get many bites. lol

140 :o , haven't seen them at that price in ages, on starforge they are 200 at the moment, going up to about 350 for the older ones.

edit, just checked now, cheapest is 215 million.

I collect mats and sell them - not the knickel and dime stuff (200 crds per) but the level 10 stuff that goes for 2,000 + per. I'm running dailies and pick up heaps of mats and usually list them in 100 lots and always cheaper than what is on the GTN so they like sell and not sit for 3 days. Sold 800 mats yesterday and made almost 5m in a matter of 1 hour. Good thing for me is I'm just collecting as I do missions. Yavin has a lot of nodes for eg.

Also constantly buying cheap level 6 UW missions off the GTN (one that returns mando metal). Only ever send my lvl 50 companion who always returns with 4 pieces of purple metal and those go for 15-20k per. I certainly don't pay 100k for those missions - I'm patient and can pick up a couple at least every day for only 5-10k each.

Above is small stuff in the scheme of what people do to make money but I have 80m in the bank just from doing this over the last year or two and certainly don't want for anything and just recetly bought the mando backpack mount for 8m as I just wanted one and always have plenty of cash to do just that :)

Heroics is a good place to start for those that do not have much to start with.

From there turn in those crates to the supply specialists.

Sell your gold companion gifts as blues give more bang for the buck. Can get 100k on average for a gold rank 6.

Sell any of the crafting mats that are in demand. Farming can sometimes help like the planet Darvanis and Yavin has a lot and Onderon is looking like a place to farm some what when 6.0 drops. Even rank 1 mats can make you money.

Join a larger guild that does commanders as there are a few that will pay you to help get the plans that the commanders drop.

Crafting does pay if you put in the time to get to the items that people want. Augments and augmentation kits always do well but 6.0 might be a waste or a boon to those who craft.

Dailies are designed to make credits and the faster you can complete them the more you make.

However counter to this is if you have not been in the game that long so whatever you earn goes right back into your characters or strongholds or other places.

For those who are whales, the cartel market is the fastest way for the lucky.

Stop buying shiny things.

If you have to penny pinch, find easier ways to travel around

PvP instead of PvE - since there are no repair costs.

Find a few niche crafts and take it steady. Don't flood the market, but keep an eye on your top 3 or five crafts. Check out the competition daily. - Never make anything that you can't sell for a profit. MK-10 augments and kits are steady. Dyes always in demand. - But hilts and barrels and armour and mats usually sell well to people twinking their alts and new starters with some cash.

Quickest way apart from buying stuff with CC is to join a big guild and achieve the conquest personal goals. - At this stage you'll have some desirable rare mats at the end of the week, when the conquest is over, so long as your guild is in the top 10

Other event weeks are also profitable. - The bounty certificates sell well if you price them right. - The Dantooine dailies are pretty quick. - MAke sure you pick up dailies that have a weekly attached.

Sell any decos you get - Ossus usually drops 2-3 in a run of the weekly PVE quests - each are worth 25K each.

Remember where to find lockboxes. Some of them yield rare purple mats to sell.

Make your own gear for alts. Make your own stims and adrenals and medpacks.

Jsut keep playing. If you're only paying for repairs and occasional travel, the credits will steadily tick up and up and up,

I mostly craft for credits.

10 cubes for 10Mill, sounds like a good price. Hope source wasn't from the duplicate exploits. But carefull, you can get a pet that sells for less than 20k.

But in any case i think you were just TOO lucky. The average hypercrate do not give in a few crates items worth over 200+mil. Sure, one of my very first packs on my first hypercrate had a platinum item. But luck runs out eventually.

A very large portion of the items are pets/mounts that sell for really low prices.

Can anyone get lucky and get fantastic loot that sells for a few 100s of million? sure. Will you get that on most hypercrates? Nope; there are just too many possible itemas but only a very small portion sells high. Lots of Gold/Platinum that people just don't pay much for them. You can get platinum rarity that sells for over 100Mill (like if you happen to get the lastest armor) or you can get platinum that sells for less than 10Mill.

Today, i would even say that average hypercrate do not even cover the 200+Mill artificial price people sells them these days. A few months ago, when they were at 100 or 120 Mill that was good price.

And in any case recovering usually requires a lot of time and patience selling each item. So you need to like a little the gamble part too to compensate that.

They were only 100 mil just a few months ago? LOL these monopoly wannabes are pathetic.
