A thought, in the outer rim you could create an emerald green pristine world that is in a system full of asteroids that contain raw resources this would truly give the two political units the republic and the empire something to fight over, a world similar to alderaan without the humanoids or creatures (to make things simple you could use alderaans world generator less structures or mobs or populations,
basically the story line starts on tython with the Jedi order breaking down into two orders of force users the Jedi and the dark Jedi that followed rajahvaraey during the force wars the dark Jedi were driven off Tython and left known space to meet up with the sith empire a race with an affinity with the dark side and the sith order formed and well that old hunt has brought two political units to the point of collapse they are both at the point where they are salvaging derelict warships and refitting decommissioned warships, as they no longer possess the resources to build new hulls . So clearly new incentive would come over a system with a world suitable for their populations and abundant resources for their peoples for years to come

I only got halfway through before I had to shake out the deja-vu from my head. You want this planet populated by Tauren and Night Elf druids?
Experience is a cruel teacher. First comes the final exam, and the lessons come after.
Hiking gives an important life lesson. If you wish to see farther, climb to a higher vantage point.
