Does Extra Accuracy Help?

1) I don't know

2) I have never seen that recommendation to go above 110, or someone going higher on purpose.

3) You can see before having optimal gear that your accuracy is quite low, you'd expect 100% to be the limit, but people go to 110% - so there is already a "bonus" you ask for... The question hence forth easier to answer yourself: Is there a point going above 100%?

No accuracy past 110% doesn't help. Once you have hit the magic number more is wasted stat points. Some bosses have a defense chance that can cause you to miss that is the reason for 110% accuracy, it negates that. Edited by TheGreyRanger

You rapidly get into diminishing returns once you get past 110%. You might still get some reduction in the enemy's defense by going beyond 110%, but you'd have to accomplish that by taking points away from other things like Critical or Alacrity and Shield, Absorb etc, for Tanks.

So basically, it's not that going beyond 110% does nothing, it's just that putting your stats into other things is better overall.

So, theoretically, if (and only if) you are a dual wielding class (specifically Gunslingers, Mercenaries, and Sentinel/Marauder), the extra accuracy will help the off hand weapon. However, the accuracy on the off hand is penalized so much that it’s not possible to carry enough accuracy rating to overcome it.

Once you have your accuracy to 110% is there any point to going higher? Does it help lower defense still further, or something similar?

Just to make sure everyone's reading from the same page, as they say, a little background, which might help someone who doesn't yet know *why* 110%.

Why 110%, then? Boss-level foes have a permanent (not-shown) buff that debuffs their attackers' Accuracy by -5% or -10%, depending on which type of boss you're talking about, so the player should stack +10% (= 110%) to counteract that.

As noted, if you go above 110% (other than by a small fraction of a percentage point because you cannot get there *exactly*), you have to take points away from something else, and those something-elses are normally more useful.
