Are you looking for Cake?

Welcome to the Cake,

We are a friendly social guild with both Republic (The Cake is a Lie) and Empire (Let Them Eat Cake) factions. We are looking to recruit players who, like us, are looking to enjoy playing a great game with easy going individuals.

We generally have 8 - 10 players on during the evenings and more on weekends, and we can be found merrily taking down World Bosses, running Classic Ops in all modes and level 55 Ops in SM and HM or just generally enjoying the game and helping each other out.

If you are looking for a guild where you can get help with your alts, explore end-game content, attempt to complete HM/NM raids or (soon to be coming) fly around in a guild ship, and all without the stuffy rules and leadership hierarchies of other guilds, then we may be the ones for you.

Please check out our website ltek.enjin.com and fill out a recruitment form or search for Cake in game to find us.

Looking forward to hearing from you soon.

This weekend just passed, Cake celebrated its 1st Birthday with a fun event held on the Tatooine.

If you are interested in joining Cake, we are active on both factions and have 2 guild ships which are both seeing active service. Like many other guilds, we run an active calendar of Ops, FPs and events, converse over teamspeak and our own website. Unlike many other guilds, we don't have lots of rules and we run a very flat organisational structure which works well for us (and allows everyone to pitch in).

If this sounds like your sort of thing (or you just want to see the pictures of the 2nd Birthday Celebrations) head on over to ltek.enjin.com or search for Cake in-game

For those that never saw our original guild recruitment add, I give you the link here

Let Them Eat Cake (Imp) and The Cake is a Lie (Rep) are both active guilds with Guild Ships on both sides. We have placed in the Top 10 for Conquests a couple of times and aside from the normal running Ops, we run other end game content and are always around for our members.

We do not run a hierarchical structure and encourage all members to post up activities which they want to do.

If this sounds like your cup of tea, please feel free to check out our website at ltek.enjin.com/home

As a quick update to questions which we get regularly asked:

1) Yes we do have 10% bonus on XP and reputation as we do have enough members

2) Yes we do have guild ships on both factions but no they are not completely unlocked, we are working towards that as a guild with guild runs on commanders

3) We do quite often place in the Top 10 for the conquests but we are yet to place 1st

4) No, there is no requirement for you to be on TS (although obviously we love our members to be on there to chat) and you don't have to be ultra chatty in chat (although again as a social guild we do encourage)

5) We don't mind if you are new to the game and just looking for fun people to play with. There are no such things as stupid questions

6) We do only have one rule and that is "Don't be an a***". As long as you can stick to that rule, you are welcome in the guild

Cake was set up after the leadership of the multi game guild we had joined decided that SWTOR wasn't the game for them. A decision that was made by a group of people that no longer played or had never played SWTOR.

Sounds just like a guild I was in over a year back. I am looking for a guild that plays both sides, so I'll definitely check you out. What was the name of the guild you came from? I might know some of you

Last night, Cake unlocked 3 rooms on each of our guild ships and are working to get more unlocked (what's the rush after all). To do this we will continue to target Top 10 finishes in conquests and good old commander runs.

If you are looking for a good all round social guild that talks to each other, gets up to fun stuff and helps out its members then give us a look.

We are not a raiding guild (although we do raid) and we are not a levelling guild (although we do help each other levelling). There are plenty of good guilds that do specialise in those activities who also actively post on these forums and are great as well.

I've been interested in your guild for quite a while now. Unfortunately majority of my playtime is either Sundays and Mondays....evenings thereafter are taken up by work, mowing the cat feeding the lawn or emptying the tumble dryer (my contribution to laundry :) I'm active empire and republic side (altaholic syndrome) So if you have a spot for an ageing Brit short of hair and patience due to guilds promising they're social but are as welcoming as fart in a lift. let me know :)

Hi Tsukuni,

Please come and take a look at our website at ltek.enjin.com and if you like what you see, then please drop an application form in on the site.

I appreciate the skepticism on the whole social guild aspect, and all I can say is that we are active on our own forums, in-game chat and Teamspeak and we only ask members to abide by our one rule.

Please note this is a very silly post and pretty much a scandalous attempt at bumping of this thread :p

==============================================

**Help me!!! they are making me post on the forums and not play the game!!!**

  • Outrageous linking to the guild website - http://ltek.enjin.com/home
  • Update from the world of Cake - we continue to be a social guild (I know shocking!!) who engage in events that range from world bosses, conquest commanders, planet achievements etc etc.. well to be fair any achievements , raids etc. Pretty much if you can think of it you post an event and guildies will attend to help, laugh and pretty much rack up a repair bill :)
  • Raiding Wise - we do relaxed raiding, training raiding and "oh god it hurts raiding" - we have a progression list on the website - outrageous linking number 2 - http://ltek.enjin.com/home. **Please note I am trapped in the Guild Ship kitchen being forced to eat macaroons and type this forum post!!**
  • We are a social guild with one rule - don't be a A***. To be clear this is not a grade for an exam... but a subtle use of * to hide the potentially offending word, just thought that was worth mentioning as it could be taken two ways and you never know!! anyways! Note. If you are indeed a A*** student and wish to join that too is absolutely supa :p
  • We use Star Parse for people who want to "up the ante" but its not mandatory and is purely used if wanted by the individual. Some people like to use it and others don't :D
  • http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?p=7103986#post7103986 link to what was a previous forum post from a very respectable guild member whose post outlines the ethos of Cake.
    Already mentioned but hey ho!
  • TeamSpeak
  • Guild Rep, Bank, Boosts etc
  • Guild Ships - we invade, and when we make a guild effort normally appear in the top 10 of the boards. Also we continue to decorate and open rooms as we go on IMP and PUB
  • Just in case I didn't get it in for my Quota - http://ltek.enjin.com/home.
  • Cake eating - at some point we all eat cake for nomz. Yesterday I had a chocolate brownie.. not a true cake but halfway there I guess

So, if you're looking to trial a guild of fun loving, sociable, experienced TORites, and enjoy free tea and Cake! Why not check out our website and have a look at our recruitment form.

**Note. this post was brought to you by a poor soul, stuck in the Guild Ship Kitchen eating Macaroons**

Cake are recruiting again and we are looking for new/old/returning players to join our small, friendly guild. Well smallish - we have enough players to easily maintain the 10% XP/reputation guild boosts, but are not so big that we have to restrict the number of alts people can add to the guild.

Faction - Both

We have an in-game guild on each faction; Let Them Eat Cake (Empire) and The Cake is a Lie (Republic). We run the two as a single guild, with our website being the focal point for activities on both sides. Most of our members have alts across both factions.

Age Range - Any

We don't have age restrictions; if you are able to behave like a mature adult, we will treat you like one.

Raiding - Lots

We raid a fair bit, but don't just concentrate on end game content. We run older raids for achievement hunting, as practice opportunities for new tanks and healers and sometimes just for fun. We run end game raids regularly to give everyone a chance to improve their gear.

We have a progression raid group that tackles harder content by working through mechanics together.

Play style - Helpful/Friendly/Casual

We do a range of other activities together, including achievement hunting, datacron gathering, conquest objectives and commander hunts and spend a lot of time chatting about everything from outfits to tactics to decorations to - well everything really!

Rules - Just the one

We only have one rule and we expect our members to adhere to it at all times: Don't be an ****.

We've got the usual amenities: 10% XP/Rep bonus, guild ships that all members are able to help decorate, a website and a TeamSpeak server.

We used to have macaroons, but somebody ate them all. We will always have Cake though :D

If you are interested in joining us, please register on our website at http://LTEK.enjin.com and catch one of us in-game.

To follow on from the post below, we would like to point out that Cake have unlocked all the rooms on both our guild ships (we did this some time back but have forgotten to update this post). We are still in the process of decorating them all.

While not a raiding guild, we do raid and encourage our members to post up any activities which they wish to do.

If you are interested in joining us at Cake, please have a read through this thread and this post below from our GM.
