I just got the new companion and she came with 2 sets of the same lvl 10 gear. I thought she would come with lvl 55 gear.

I had this happen too. Didn't they screw this up with HK-51 as well? Why would I need two identical sets of level 10 gear?

I somehow HIGHLY doubt they would give away 55 gear. I'm still surprised they gave away the 50 gear for HK -- but you HAD to be ~50 to get him, so a tad different I suppose.

I think, since there were two sets of armor. One sould have been 10, and the other 50. so people just starting have their set, and the 55's have if not the best, at least viable armor on a new companion(which all other companions come with).

They're both fully moddable? That makes more sense, as you wouldn't have much/any tanking or healing specific stats at level 10.

In that case they should probably have given a regular generator instead of a shield for one of the sets.

There 'used' to be a bug with HK-51 and missing gear. The fix was to give you the companion, and equipment separately. Now you just get two sets of armor, this is hardly a reason to complain.
