DarkkChaos
You actually believe the response to your ticket?? The people that answer those don't even appear to have played the game based on some of their responses. I don't believe it until a Dev posts here.... ::waiting:: Well, logic would dictate : * many people can't get mission * submit support ticket * receive answer advising confimation from specialist team (whatever that is) - that it is NOT a bug and is working as designed * go back to BH terminal again to confirm no weekly UHhhhhmmmmm, yep...seems pretty darn plausible. Sure...if ONE person was effected, maybe a one off situation - EVERYONE effected? Seems more like 'working as designed'....but you feel free to keep holding your breath

DarkkChaos
Hang on did they say it was no longer there or working as intended (which could mean you did it already this reset)? I inquired about why the mission was missing - had not completed at all this week...went Friday night to run through missions, no weekly. Ticket submitted inquiring where weekly was? Was this a bug?? Response was as per: not a bug, working as intended. Considering the nerf'd BH comms with 1.4 (which I really find funny, considering the INCREASE in BH items now)....and considering the amount of people that are experiencing exact same issue......just kinda falls in line? Hey, don't get me wrong...hope the guy on the other end of the ticket IS wrong....as it stands, seems to make sense... Lord_of_Mu
So in an effort to reduce the number of people doing dailies at the black hole, they removed the only reason to do the dailies at the black hole? That's one way to fix the problem.

Well I have done it this week, and that says working as intended, me thinks you did it already and forgot , I guess we will see next week. EDIT: Just went on my alt, You are quite right I don't seem to be able to get the weekly, sorry for doubting. As the below posts states, guess it kinda makes since for F2P as we don't want F2Pers in full BH gear. Edited October 1, 2012 by Jetronin
Raideag
More than likely removed in preparations for F2P. I logged in to my smuggler which I hardly do anything on and didn't see the quest on the terminal. Unless they are making it an invisible quest now where basically after turning in all the dailies in Black Hole then you get credit for it without picking up a quest. As well the Rackghoul Conflicts weekly has been removed as well. Still in your quest log if you haven't completed it but can't pick it up anymore after its been dropped. Talimar
I love how they fixed the spawn rates to accomodate more people, and then removed the reason for them to be there. Keep up the great work, Bioware!

Keep up the great work, Bioware! LOL Thought i would test this, I had an unfinished weekly from weeks ago on my jedi,I abandoned it and cannot reget the weekly from the quest console. A bit of ownership of your game would stop all this speculation bioware, the majority of us dont care if you screwed up, its the deafning silence from you thats insulting. Thornsbane
Cant say I really care if they removed it, BH comms are to easy to get atm and now if you want extra ones you have to do HM FP.....which is good to fill up queue finder for all the fresh 50's. BH is still a source of quick easy cash, and xp if your below 50.
Draekos
I rarely do the heroic as I just like the quick runs of solo BH dailies for cash so its not a big deal to me. What is a big deal is the devs changing equipment acquistion mechanics without comment. A dev explanation would be nice. Also a new area name would be needed if you can no longer acquire Black Hole comms from the Black Hole. Edited October 2, 2012 by Draekos
DorkTrooper
The BH weekly made a nice way for people to get geared who like to run in small (2-3 person) groups, or who don't want to pre-study the whole list of random HM FPs to start getting BH comms. I understand why this was done (F2P monitization), but taking away gearing options for subscribing players is not a good way to go.
Samoth_Nomad
I would really appreciate some dev. confirmation on this. is this a bug or is it intentional, like the cs agents have stated? Removing the bh weekly and rakghoul weekly is just asinine.
Polebreaker
Wow, nice job. A really crappy dev decision, or yet another bug to slip through your non-existant QA process, and either way, several days gone by with no response or ret-conning of the patch notes to clairify what's going on. EAware at it's usual finest!

MidichIorian
I couldnt find anything in the patch notes about this but it really is gone. Like, what the hell? I guess I don't have to sit through the 5 minute loading screen to Corellia anymore. Yeah I was too cheap to buy the insta-transport thingy on all my alts. And what happened to Lost Island/KuS? No more comms there either. Makes me wonder if this game is some psychological experiment so see how much crap we can take. Pirana
Makes me wonder if this game is some psychological experiment so see how much crap we can take. The 'man' is watching us all! Keep an eye out for black helicopters and vans. The BH Weekly quest is bugged. There's a number of threads in the CS section regarding this, albeit not confirmed, other than the paying customers. http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=538895 Edited October 2, 2012 by Pirana

aeterno
I fully expect BH comms to no longer be awarded for LFG daily completions soon. It's obvious they erred with the concept in a gear progression game such as this and are now double backing. I got decked in roughly campaign equivalent set by never seriously doing the highest difficulty ops, just BH dailies I used to strip out the 61 mods and put them in my rakata. Bam, BIS for PVE up to 1.4. I didnt get one campaign drop and I'm doing TfB hardmode with my guild when the standard pve dps is MIA and I'm not busy pvping lol. It was and is obvious to me that this was borked from a raid progression standpoint. Now if you want to raid at the top level you have to grind out the lower tiers as is the norm in these games. That may well be true, but this is shutting the stable door after the horse has bolted. Top level gear has moved on, it is now Dread Guard and Hazmat, both only available from the latest operation - there is no Hazmat commendation. Where is the harm in letting people easily gear up to a standard necessary to run the latest operation on hard mode? Other games routinely do this, yet BW seems to be doing the opposite. The only mistake was introducing the Black Hole commendation system too early - now is the time it should be available, yet they are cutting down on the ways you can accumulate them. Talliara
Now if you want to raid at the top level you have to grind out the lower tiers as is the norm in these games. Not really, so many players can already craft the bh mods / armorings / barrels / hilts etc that shutting down the way to get bh comms is pointless now (at least for this tier of items). Anyone with credits can get those items off the GTN for no effort. All this change does is give an advantage in game to those of us who RE'd the items when the comms were a lot easier to obtain, while newer players will face a very long grind to get to that point. (crafting professions for new players to make lvl 50 items becomes worthless as older players are flooding the market with lvl 61 items they can't craft for a long time). If it was a new tier of items (such as the dread guard/hazmat) then it would be understandable and a good change, but the way this was done - a stealth nerf without any mention in patch notes that I could see, just makes no sense if it's not a bug. Costello
Would like an official word on is. It seems a very small thing to take out given its 6 coms a week while nice for people that don't like doing Ops. As it stands most people only use Group finder for the black hole coms and if they are taken out nobody will probably use it and if they do the wait will be a long long time.
