Thank you for the reports about Deadly Cannon and Target Tracking, everyone! We're aware of this issue and are working on a fix for it.

It's nice that you all finally said something, but just like everything else in this game, actions speak louder than words. As long as those actions don't take 3-5 weeks...

Thank you so much.

Showing the customer you're listening is 80% of the fix right there. It may sit there unfixed for a few more months, but at least we will know that you are aware of it and will fix it in the future. :)

I'll completely agree with you on the listening part, but if it shouldn't take them a few months to fix. If it does, all it show's is that BW is just paying us lip service, and that they really don't care about fixing class bugs.

Not necessarily. Sometimes bugs are a lot more complex to solve than we might think. Take the never-ending unload animation bug for example. It's been there since beta and is constantly complained about to the point where you would argue that if an easy fix was available, they would have implemented one by now.

Ive played other MMOs where relatively simple damage coefficient bugs have taken months or even years to sort out because of the interaction between several pieces of script. Sometimes a bugs' effect is easy to spot but the cause can be very subtle.

Just knowing that its on their radar and someone will be looking into it is a really good start.

One wonders how this (and the numerous HSM bugs) have persisted so long and remained unnoticed (by the Devs, not the customers) when every possible calculation and scenario are apparently covered by the all-knowing Metrics ....

True, but in the same boat, I've played other MMO's where they were able to fix or nerf damage talents and abilities in as little time as a week. So while I can understand a couple weeks wait for a fix, anything over 2 months for just a damage ability talent seems a bit much...yet wouldn't be surprised with how things have been so far.

Sweet baby Jesus it's about time we finally get the correct reply. And it's been added to the known in game issues thread for Commandos and Mercs. And it's on the dev tracker. Thanks for the responses and updates.

well, since Target Tracking seems to work for HSM it would seem a good starting place to fix the Unload issue

would be to begin with the formula for HSM and compare that against the Unload formula.

if they are exactly the same regarding applying Target Tracking then I could see that they might have a more difficult

time fixing the issue.

this stuff is obviously not tested and QA'd for each individual ability affected.

If it was then this issue would not exist.

maybe only HSM was tested and Unload was just assumed to work. tough to tell.

thanks to everyone who took the time to find this issue, test it, and report it.
