Hey All!

I'm new at Vanguard, he has 47 level and it's path is tank one - Shield Specialist

I have some question's about playing him at PvP

1. Level of my character have influence at guard abillity i mean higher level higher guard ? I think i'm not guarding as good as i can...
2. Someone at fleet chat told me that Vanguard is the hardest and weakest class in game ? Is that true ? Is any sense of playing that character ?
3. Last question... is any sense of playing tank at Warzones?
I like playing him, it's really hard maybe cause I'm still learning don't know honestly, but wanna know your opinion, if u can answer and also I want to ask about giving some advises to improve

Thank u for your attention !

My Vanguard's nickname is Ti'karro

1. Nope, guard works on how far you are from the teammate you're guarding and the percentages guarded don't change with levels. A good PVP tank will swap guard often depending on the situation.
2. Vanguard tank is probably the easiest to play due to their smaller number of abilities but it also has the least amount of defensive cooldowns so they can still be a bit squishy and they're definitely behind the other two tanks a bit.
3. Sort of.. a lot of tanks play skank tanks in PVP these days, that is tanks with tank set bonus but dps/high endurance mods/augments/enhancements because tank stats aren't really balanced properly for PVP right now.
OG Commando life.

Bottom line, learn to guard properly and use high end + dps mods to inflict AoE. With full dps gear people have reached 6-7k dps. 50-50% tank gear get 4-4.5k.

I'm not to good to combine my tank with damage dealer equipment, so i'll stay as a pure tank... trying hard

You ll just spend gear in stats that are useless in PvP like Def. Should not be more than 13-17% if any.

Shield also could be a waste if it's more than 34%. Shield could be useful in yolo. In regs is useless in excess.
Get Dps relics which have endurance.

Pure mitigation builds are useless in PvP these days. You won't do your team any service unfortunately. You'll hit like a wet noodle, and your protection won't be any better. You might survive longer, but you'll be impudent. If you want to deal damage and protect, avoid mitigation mods and enhancements. Keep your shield. You'll be bolstered well enough.
