The Mysterious "CommunityDroid"

Recommended Posts

In the last few weeks we have received a few posts from "CommunityDroidFR" and similar (the search only works with a full name so I can't find them all

Generally it seemed that the post was either a minimal post or may not be sharing the best information.

Has there ever been a post clarifying these posts?

I am assuming that it is just a shared username used when one of the fine community people do not want their name associated with a particular post.

The CommunityDroid accounts are what our moderators use. You will only really see posts like "please stay on topic" and "stop yelling at each other" from them. That is also why they do not appear on the devtracker like our posts do.

Hope that solves the mystery :rak_03:

Ah, FYI. http://www.swtor.com/community/member.php?u=8524175 does appear in the dev tracker (is currently about half way down page one of the dev tracker)

Should have specified... Our FR and DE droids post to the DevTracker in case they would need to post a notice in FR or DE to make sure it gets high visibility. I misspoke slightly there. Good catch!

This forum has mods? Who knew...

It does seem like they turn a blind-eye towards the less harmful side of things. Probably in an attempt to not make it seem like they are "silencing the community", which is aways a tricky balance.

But I know I have personally had and I have seen some threads deleted. Especially when they involve thinks like wishing personal harm on someone and exploits.
