PhoenixCanFly
By now everyone probably has found out how to do the dailies on Ossus. But I wanted to share "my way" of doing the dailies which I think is very time consuming. First of all, doing the dailies does not mean you have to do them all. Some take a long time. Same with heroics where some are quite fast, others not. Similar to Yavin or Iokath you can do a set of dailies and the next day repeat them. This is what I do. On the rep side I usually do this: Patrol: Ossus (gives reward for 5 dailies) Perimeter Protection (8 turrets) Explosive Intervention (4 tunnels) Wasteland terrors (2 bosses in water) Firestorm (5 fires) QT to catacombs. Pick up Sensor Sweep from droid. Now go up the hill to the water and do the 3 dailies there (sensor, wasteland, explosive) QT to farms, go to "Hold the Line" entrance where the fires are, QT farm and at the farm do the turrets. voila. This takes <10min and I do this on my toons twice a week. While doing this I try to join WBs (for the crystals). Hope this helps. Team up as much as possible so people don't have to wait on the resources (like turrets to become available etc.). One more tip: If the "time limited mission" is something like WZ (which is easy) they reset on Monday I think but on Tuesday when CQ resets they change. So you can do it twice in a week! Lunafox
I can easily run 3 toons solo through all the dailies in about an hour and a half. That's taking my time (my best run is about 15minutes for one toon). If I'm feeling pressed for time, or get bored, I skip the one with the 2 big droids. In all, I run 8-9 toons through the weekly every week. I also don't need to do all of them, just ten, as that gives the boxes for 252 stuff. The other thing I do is I pick up the heroics, even though I no longer do those, (it's not worth it to me to do them), but I use the ports, cause I find I can easily port across the map where I need to be with these heroic ports. It does save time. Edited March 16, 2019 by Lunafox
JattaGin
On the rep side I usually do this: Patrol: Ossus (gives reward for 5 dailies) Perimeter Protection (8 turrets) Explosive Intervention (4 tunnels) Wasteland terrors (2 bosses in water) Firestorm (5 fires) QT to catacombs. Pick up Sensor Sweep from droid. I haven't been on Ossus for several weeks ago due to boredom, but before that I did the following once per character per week (for the weekly): 15 minutes before daily reset: Perimeter Protection Explosive Intervention Wasteland terrors the mission with the 6 sensors and the misison where you scan 4 structures with the macrobinoculars And then I would do the same missions again immediately after the daily reset. ObsidianBones
Have yet to attempt the Ossus Dailies except on the test server, and even those felt as if they took forever. Also, with the lag I'd been experiencing from just doing the Republic/Empire stories made me not want to. However, I've heard with this latest patch that that has been taken care of. Is it only the Heroics that drop the 252 gear, or could I get some decent components from just the Dailies? Might dive into those when I jump back to the Star Forge server. PhoenixCanFly
I totally understand if you don't like to do the dailies in Ossus. My point was also along the line that given a toon if you spend 5-7min you can do 5 dailies and then go on and do the stuff you like Really though for getting 258 gear one needs the crystals and if the WB becomes too boring for you, then you can always do the critical time missions (only) which are either WZ, FP or Ops. I just read posts like this, and all I get from it is "you must do things you dislike if you want gears." When the gearing system on this game improves (if it ever does) I will log in and play. I absolutely refuse to be forced to PVE for gears that I need in PVP, when for years alts and PVP were always a welcomed part of SWTOR. When they started making it a chore to gear up and a chore to integrate alts into conquest and harder to gear them up I lost interest in SWTOR because they altered large parts of the game that I found enjoyable in the past. Yeah. I refuse to be another statistic for Musco and co. Adding stupid gear for a mode of an op it was stupid to add in the first place and locking it behind a stupid new planet so you could inflate the numbers of people participating so you could say they "enjoy" it was stupid. I refuse to be one of these stupid statistics. But by all means, for the masses, a guide on how to be a stupid statistic in the most efficient means possible is nice.
