xordevoreaux
Maybe they let some of their coders go in addition to admin types, so the labor pool for game developers might just have gotten deeper. Time to soak up some of the unemployed over at Blizzard. https://kotaku.com/the-fallout-of-activision-blizzard-s-massive-layoffs-1832597892 Edited February 14, 2019 by xordevoreaux
ALaggyGrunt
There's no shortage of aspiring game devs and testers. That's why game companies can treat them so badly.
DarthSpuds
There's no shortage of aspiring game devs and testers. That's why game companies can treat them so badly. There clearly is a shortage of time-served, excellent-track-record, highly-competent Devs though. I aspire to be a gigolo - but I'm never going to be one. Aspiration isn't enough - competence is always needed. All The Best
SteveTheCynic
I aspire to be a gigolo - but I'm never going to be one. Now there's this song(1) bouncing around inside my head. Thanks for that. Not. (1) Please don't say that you don't know which song I'm talking about. Please?
DarthSpuds
(1) Please don't say that you don't know which song I'm talking about. Please? Honestly have to say I have no clue what song you are talking about. But then I haven't really listened to "popular" music in almost 25 years because, in my opinion, the vast majority of it is simply not worth wasting time listening to. The origins of the song are in the 1920s, although the version I'm thinking of is from 1985. If I said the words "David Lee Roth", would that help? Hawkebatt
Activision bought Blizzard, so they are selling the parts of the cow they wanted to milk after it was dead. Since you can't milk a dead cow, they are getting rid of the parts that kept the cow alive. Will not be long before WoW is dead. Wait it is already. RIP WoW/Blizzard!
