Heith
this is sexist. i cannot understand why the female bounty hunter becomes a baroness but the male cant become a baron. sheer idiocy.
Cody-licious
Nercromancy FTW! Simply put, in aristocratic systems such as Alderaan, titles linke "Baron" would have been hereditary through the male line, i.e. to become Baron, you would have to be a male that inherits that title for his father upon death. As a male, you usually wouldn't get a courtesy title of "Baron" from marrying the daughter who inherits the estate from her father. You're entirely right about this being sexist -- that was the whole point with the ancient feudal male-dominated social structures that used to be in place. Heith
for one thing, this isnt the ancient feudal system. for another, if the roles were reversed people would be outraged. and they are rightly angered by this sexist decision to remove the baron title. I liked the title so much I put it in my name. J/K I have had this name in all the games I have played. But I do like the title.
