Bioware, I know that you are busy with generic, non class specific content HOWEVER, if you feel it in your heart to add SIS Agent on Pub side and Imperial Trooper on Imp side I would highly appreciate that!

Please and thank you!

All other players, whether you believe BW will actually do this for us, please sign if you want this to happen!

I totally want these classes. Being able to play as an SIS Agent would be like a dream come true for me. I'm going to school to study criminal justice and plan on entering the law enforcement field, so if they added an SIS Agent class I would get to be a space detective which would be freaking awesome! I wish some rich celebrity played SWTOR so they could donate their money to Bioware to pay for voice acting and stuff
The Day ToR is released is the day my social life dies.

Pssh your sith powers don't stand a chance against me.

The likelihood of this ever happening is pretty close to nil. Not saying it won't ever happen, but due to the nature and design of TOR, the expense and effort just doesn't seem justifiable. They would have to hire 2-4 VAs just to cover the class voices. Bring them in, record an entire games worth of dialog 4 times. Then, they would have to re-hire most/almost all of the previous VAs to come back in and record new dialog responses for almost every mission. Sure, only the "story" missions really *require* new dialog, but even side mission npcs usually greet you based on class. Many times a side mission NPC has known I was an Agent or a Sith and responded appropriately. These same responses can't really be re-used for a trooper and agent on opposite sides.

Then, they'd have to program in all this new content which is no easy feat in it's own. All of that for a f2p game just doesn't seem worth it. 2 New classes might bring in some new subs temporarily while players return to check them out, 1-55 them in a week, then cancel again. They could make them unlocks with CC but that would just enrage the community, with subs and preferred feeling like they are getting shafted out of game content they shouldn't have to pay for. Hell, iirc a LOT of subs were pretty upset they had to pay, and full price at that, to unlock Cathar.

New classes are just not going to happen.

The amount of money and effort involved in making a new class with an entirely new storyline, the writing, the art, the voices for the class, story NPCs, 5 new companions, possibly a new ship... Combined with the knowledge that you have to get all these people back again and do even more work whenever you want to make an expansion...

It's not going to happen. Ever.

New advanced classes are probably the only thing we can expect in this area.

One, most planets would need physical modification to incorporate the new areas required for class stories. That would make the voice changes easy by comparison.

Two these already exist. A Pub counterpart to IA that can go either a stealth/heal route or a ranged DPS route? That would be the Smugger. An Imp version of the Trooper, heavy weapons and armor with tanking and healing options? Those are generally referred to as Bounty Hunters.

So basically you're asking for large financial investment for a new skin on something that you already have? Wut?

Well, they are one of the most profitable games in the world... So why shouldn't they be ABLE to put in the time and effort to make epic stuff....

New classes however are VERY big effort... and what would you get? Something that basically already exists, just named differently. But yes, there would be AWESOME possibilities in their story here. Combine the addition of these classes with a patch where players get the option to "go rogue/independant" -> Leave their faction and go into buisiness for... whoever. And then have all factions hating one another with Jedi wanting to convince the independant by being... 'nice' and Sith wanting them by being 'not so nice'... and the independants not wanting... and the rep agent wanting to make the independants not like the sith but like the reps... oh dear... there is POTENTIAL in StarWars... If only a company would make a game and continue to improve it...

How would they be different from the Smuggler and Bounty Hunter more than cosmetically? I'm not sure what you expect out of an Imperial Trooper story, the Empire considers them pretty expendable. SIS wouldn't be any different than Imperial Intelligence, they are both spy organizations. It might be interesting to see something in the realm of counter-intelligence, but that alone doesn't justify an SIS agent.

I have another suggestion. I agree that making an SIS Agent and Imp Troopers is just changing the name of some classes and then giving it a different story and voice. So I would suggest the Echani and Mandalorian's. Echani for Pub and Mandalorian's for Imp. I think you could make both of these classes like non-Force melee classes! I think if has potential let me know what you think!
