Deresdod
I'm sure its posted somewhere, but couldnt find it. If someone gets tossed around or mind trapped just before floors drop, they die from falling because they are placed in inner rings. Terrible when you die from RNG that you can't control and very frustrating for entire raid all night trying to complete EV HM.
tehdonno
This one could actually be intended. You need to stop dps if someone is in that state. Tons of other real bugs that are a lot worse.
Fumanchu_Fow
He drops the floor at a set percent so just push him to within 1% and stop dps until everyone is clear and push him over. It's not like this is a new concept.

Fumanchu_Fow
Explain how it's poor design. You have complete control over what happens. If it keeps happening you are doing it wrong. It has nothing to do with design and everything to do with an inability of your group to grasp a basic concept.
Sheridyn
The enrage timer doesn't start ticking until the last stage - take your time and control when the 30% transition happens. If you're caught in a mind trap during the transition, you shouldn't die. Once the debuff wears off (90-second duration if memory serves correctly) you should reappear on the bottom floor. Aim to get the boss down to about 32%, then stop damaging him until anyone in the air has landed, and you've got everyone out of any mind traps. This also gives you a chance to get everyone to the western side of the room to make the journey downwards.
Sainnt
the only problem i have with this fight is the 8 man hard mode with 3 balls coming out at the same time he is weakend

With this information we may have to try and go back tomorrow to get a prenerf kill. Edited January 16, 2012 by tehdonno
Munx
Its poor design, argueing otherwise is pointless. Yes you can stop dps at 31%, but theres nothing to stop him from randomly throwing someone into air or mindtrap just as you hit 30%.

The boss will enrage after the fourth pillar drops in the last phase of the fight. If there's some additional hard enrage based on total encounter time, I've not seen it. Niclamus
As far as I know there is no timed enrage, it is just the 4 pendulum enrage in the final phase. The mindtraps/grip is a well designed mechanic which is completely controllable. There are no RNG deaths from falling from these.... just control your DPS. He always casts them in the order of air grip, then a few seconds later mind trap. That's when you push the boss after killing the trap to avoid having anyone die. We usually hold at 30/31% since he actually transitions at 29%.

If you wait until someone lands and are breaking mind traps right away then you'll have just broken the latest mind trap when someone lands. You then push him over. You people saying this part of the encounter is bad design are just bad players.
snowmon
we normally get him to 33% then stop dps till MT has been taken down and noone being thrown around the air, then we just finish off the last few %
