irrevelant
Let's face it. Most FP got story mode, and you can do it solo that way. Most players go to FP with group finder for loot, and xp, and not for story. But if just one person is interested in story, or just a jerk, then it wastes everyone's time in the group. So the idea is simple. When group finder used, then all dialogue skips are "vote based". If 2 person skips, then automatically skips for the other 2. Also people could set auto skip conversation at their portrait which would allow them to auto skip all dialogues. Or at least vote for it.
SteveTheCynic
What do you mean by "skip dialogue"? Some dialogue choices affect the flow of things in the FP (the obvious example is Black Talon when you kill or don't kill the captain, because it affects what happens next before you leave the Black Talon to go to the Brentaal Star). So if you mean "just show the dialogue wheels without the actual speaking bits in between", sure, why not? The dialogue wheels are also a source of social(1) and dark/light points, and if someone has the right companion out, in some FPs, that person can get Influence points from the dialogue wheels, so the wheels themselves remain interesting. Or just take a few seconds at the beginning to find out what everyone wants to do, and vote-kick people if they later on go against what was agreed, ffs. (1) I'm not saying that many people go into FPs *for* the social points, just that they are an added benefit of doing group content, and that in FPs they come exclusively from the dialogue wheels. The part when characters speaking. The dialogue wheel would be shown still for that reason, but there is a difference between taking 2 second choosing one, and listening to a 2 minute dialogue. For the 99. time. You don't know who isn't skipping. Anyone can write, that they do. The game doesn't show, that you are waiting for X. It just shows, that you are waiting for your teammates. By the way that would work too. The game would show who isn't skipping so the rest can kick his sorry ***. Getting social points is not dependent on listening to the dialogue. For sure, but I cited the social and dark/light points thing as a reason for leaving the wheels as they are when the speaky bits are skipped. AlrikFassbauer
I want to be able to get listed together only with non-skippers. If there's an option, please implement it. Both sides - skippers and non-skippers - would be happy, then.

In story mode you can just solo them, and you won't be bothered with skipping, nor get answers you don't like.
tomatosquish
Any FP with a ton of dialogue is available in SM. If you want to hear the story then do it in SM and be done with it. Don't make a group take an extra half hour just so you can get the story.

irrevelant
So, why are dialogs left in by the dev team for HM and NIMH anyway ? On certain FPs the dialogue choices change the FP itself. Also it gives social, and dark/light side points.
