xordevoreaux
Me: Sorry, Daily Florida Afternoon Thunderstorm, I'm NOT listening to you. DFAT: [rumbles] I WILL get you to unplug your computer! My ancestors ruined your last one! Me: Nope. Nuh-uh, not doing it. I'm staying on now, I've an op in an hour. DFAT: [RUMBLES] You WILL! Me: I wont! DFAT: [RUMBLES LOUDER] I shall bring complete destruction to all of your electronic devices! Your router shall be blown completely off the wall! Me: That happened already. I put the new router on a shelf. DFAT: [EXPLODES IN A THUNDEROUS CRASH] I shall make you flee! Your computer shall be a pile of carbon when I'm done with you! [HUGE THUNDER] Me: Hm. Okay. I get your point. xordevoreaux
But why though... I love thunderstorms. This is why: https://i.imgur.com/rokRVJn.jpg I had unplugged from the outlet, but failed to detach the cat6 cord from my router to my computer. Lost the NIC card in my computer, a router (which got blasted off a wall mount) and an outlet cord. The time before that we lost a 55" tv. I've also lost phones, fax machines, a printer. I've learned to regard the likelihood of losing equipment as a high probability in a Florida storm. Edited August 11, 2019 by xordevoreaux
