Continuing Bant's good work, I have taken on updating his spreadsheet. I will update this post shortly.

 

UPDATED (04/20/2017) - Using 5.2 live numbers. My apologies to the healers. I was using single target calculations to determine the Optimal Stats. Bant used 3 targets for his calculations so I have adjusted the numbers to use 3 targets.

 

UPDATED (04/21/2017) - Updated post #4 to show Mastery stim stats for ilvl 248 gear. Since ilvl 244 gear is the same as ilvl 242 gear, please refer back to Bant's Optimal Stats for KOTET.

kinda wondering for heals tough, if we were pushing DR before, shouldnt some augment go into either power or mastery for a better hps gain? Simiarly for dps, 242 was pushing DR on a lot of spec, I expected some extra mastery might appear on BiS, as they were already replacing some crystal for some.

Bant's code goes through almost 8000 iterations to output the optimized stats. It takes into account all available stats -mastery, power, accuracy, critical, and alacrity. It then tweaks each stat to come up with the best DPS or HPS.

 

As in every disclaimer, it's your $15 a month and you are free to gear up how you like.

This is strictly for Operative healer but I thought I bring this up. Before Master Bant retired he gave me the math for Operative healing in when the DR on crit/alacrity hits its breaking point for Mastery and/or Power becomes better to stack. Long story short, it's such a high number that you shouldn't be stacking anything but crit/alacrity for a long time with the current DRs. I don't know if this is the same for merc or Sorc though. They might be in the same situtation. Also one of the things he brought up that was interesting is, as Mastery increases the effectiveness of crit/alacrity goes up (not sure if this applies strictly to Healers or in all situations?). Have to keep that in mind; im not a math genius but that probably argues for Healers to keep stacking crit/alacrity for a while. That is just a guess though.

With regards to healers...it looks like the new Crit proc relic might be a slightly better option...

 

It's an adjustment with healers going from crit over alacrity to the other way around, but in the end personal preference will make the difference. I'm just hoping for miraculous changes in my keeping force starvation to a minimum. :eek:

With regards to the DPS, the Focused Retribution and Serendipitous Assault relics are still the Best-In-Slot relics.

 

With regards to the Healers, the Focused Retribution and Devastating Vengeance are a slightly better.

The crit relic is interesting for sure now.

On healers stacking so much alactrity makes sense for force regeneration and cooldowns.

 

Problem for most dps is that you do want to lower you crit rating bellow 1700 too much (it penalizes your attacks without the proc significantly if you have say 1500 instead of 1700 crit), but at the same time diminishing returns on crit rating add up significantly beyond 1850 when the proc gets it over 2600+. That why is SA and FR is still better.

 

An exception could be io merc as there you have naturally very high crit chance already and you tend to stack alactrity and crit evenly anyways. On that class it could be run through the formalas to see what you get.

Thank you for doing this. I had been planning on reaching about 1800 crit and 1450 alacrity on my DPS and just using 2 power augs... but I might reconsider. Still hard to believe the diminishing returns haven't pushed the stats into mastery/power augmenting range yet.

You still have alactrity that is why for sustaindps you want 1800 crit/ 1600 alac (approximately). Now for burst in PvP yeah probably tone down the alactrity and use some power or mastery augments.

Great job on the stats.

 

Although the Alacrity seems kind of like a waste for infiltration at 1600+. I was already thinking about dumping a lot of it into power or something at 1400, maybe going for 1200 Alacrity.

 

Thoughts everyone? I'd appreciate some advice.
