Zolexus
Hey all, I'm at 400 artifice and when I reverse engineer a tanking shield generator (tried with 2 different ones now) I get an "overkill" version of it. It gives additional power. I don't need power as a tank. Is it possible to get different versions besides the overkill one if I keep reverse engineering? Tried a whole day already, no luck. Owsley
Read the RE Guide Sticky http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=45866 Besides OVERKILL there is CRITICAL and REDOUBT. Each of these has five variations of Artifact (Purple) items. Here is a list of the prefixes and what stats they represent: (Each first prefix will be followed by its upgraded prefixes) Redoubt (+Defense) -General (+Defense, +Presence) -Veracity (+Defense, +Shield) -Anti-Armor (+Defense, +Surge) -Exactitude (+Defense, +Accuracy) - ???? Critical (+Critical) -Leadership (+Critical, +Presence) -Tempest (+Critical, +Shield) -Fervor (+Critical, +Accuracy) -Endowment (+Critical, +Surge) -Supremacy (+Critical, +Alacrity) Overkill (+Power) -Vehemence (+Power, +Alacrity) -Rampart (+Power, +Shield) -Commander (+Power, +Presence) - Expert (+Power, +Surge) - Hawkeye (+Power, +Accuracy) Here's a flowchart to help better understand: ----------------------------[ Leadership ---------------------------/- Tempest ---------------- Critical ---- Fervor -------------/-------------\- Endowment -------------|--------------[ Supremacy -------------|---------------------------- -------------|--------------[ Exactitude -------------|-------------/- Anti-Armor Base Item -|- Redoubt --- General -------------|-------------\- Veracity -------------|--------------[ ???????? -------------|---------------------------- -------------|--------------[ Vehemence -------------\-------------/- Rampart ---------------- Overkill --- Commander ---------------------------\- Expert ----------------------------[ Hawkeye Edited December 27, 2011 by Owsley

Medimatze
I must admit that I also never got any advanced version other than overkill through RE from shield generators... Can anyone confirm about getting another version by REing a green shield generator?

Can anyone confirm about getting another version by REing a green shield generator? Yes, I have all three T1 versions (critical, overkill, redoubt) of many shield generators. SaeGio
I am assuming this works the same for all crafted items? like implants, earpieces, etc.?
AlixMV
I am assuming this works the same for all crafted items? like implants, earpieces, etc.? If you're going to necro a thread, try to read what little there is to it first... From the link in the first comment: What can I reverse engineer? You can reverse engineer almost anything you craft. You may also be able to reverse engineer world drops that fall in line with what your crafting skill can make, though this is not always true and results only in materials, not schematics.
