Known In-Game Issues

Hello everyone! We appreciate you joining us to play Star Wars™: The Old Republic™, and we hope you enjoy the game. As MMORPGs are large and complex projects, inevitably we do discover issues that may affect gameplay. We're working constantly to fix anything that will affect the player experience, but for now this is our current list of high priority in-game known issues. Please note that this is not intended to be a comprehensive list of all bugs that the developers are working on. Also, we encourage you to report any issues that you do not see on this list via the in-game /bug feature.

General

  • A number of Achievements do not grant as intended.
  • A number of Codex entries do not grant as intended.
  • Robes clip through vehicles and creature mounts.
  • The "Short Wavy" hair style has visual issues when wearing the Tranquil Mystic and Revanite Avenger armor sets.

Galactic Starfighter

  • When in Galactic Starfighter, all audio can completely turn off if you’re running the game on Windows XP.

Missions + NPCs

  • Vector and Lord Scourge appear to be wearing clothes when their gear is removed, and his skin doesn't appear correctly when wearing revealing gear.

We are pleased you use this thread as a resource! Please keep in mind that every bug that we know about will not make it to this list. There are a few reasons why we may not put something on the list right away, even when we know about it:

1. Exploits. Even if we are aware of an exploit, we may exclude them from the list because we do not want players abusing these bugs before we are able to fix them.

2. Bugs we are actively investigating but don't have a definitive "who, what, when, where, why" for. Often, these types of issues will have their own thread or post where we are gathering information. Sometimes we know a bug is happening, but our first step is to acknowledge the bug in a separate thread and ask for more details to gather more information on the bug for the developers. Once we know enough to confidently say what the issue actually is, then it will be added to the Known Issues list if it doesn’t fall into one of the other categories.

3. Performance issues. Since we are continuously collecting data from players about anything performance related, these types of issues will generally have their own thread in the Customer Support forums where we can ask players to post logs, dxdiags, etc, to help the developers.

4. It doesn’t affect gameplay enough, and the list needs to be kept to a reasonable size. Generally, this will include bugs with art (floating rock!), typos, voice overs, sound effects, and other small things. However, there will always be exceptions to this, especially when the bug is related to combat.

Hopefully this helps you understand how we decide what goes on the Known Issues.
