Sadly, I can foresee just enough content to keep mild interest and all the while milking money from the cartel market coin purchases.

I can't even imagine the amount of revenue they have brought in from CC sales. I would imagine it's staggering considering it's roughly $50 for a single hypercrate.

Nope, I'm not. They described exactly what a sandbox is. Good try though.

Honestly I didn't intend to describe a Sandbox. I never played SWG either. I would say there are different degrees to Sandbox though. I also agree with you that SWG underachieved as a MMO because it was too sandboxy. But SWTOR totally swung to the opposite end of the spectrum with a very restrictive MMO. The planets are just big tunnels connecting point A to Point B.

I don't mind having some restriction in a game but there needs to be some room for creativity as well. Like I said earlier in this thread. With todays technology, there is Soooo much potential for a SWs MMO if built correctly from the ground up. The foundation of this game is brittle at best. I just hope the next SW developer isn't afraid to swing for the fences.

again I don't get it, SwTOR is in a perfect position to do both types. Have a sandboxy type game for the space game, and have your themepark model for the land game, the new game can obviously have a bit more player directed development for the groundgame, and the space game have a little bit more structure than SWG had, but the vastness of space does fit the sandboxy mould.

Don't you mean level 55, then level 56 to 100.

1) I want class stories back. I'd pay another 75.00 for the deluxe edition

2) QOL improvements, guild capital ships etc

3) And last, more classes and species.

Oooh, I like the idea of guild capital ships, for trading, meetings, ect. One of my guilds (each of my characters is in a different guild) had a guild meeting for give aways and group pictures and such, but we had to find a place to go, which ended up being a party barge on the lower promenade on Nar Shaddaa. So I think this would be a really cool idea.

Ok, this is Star Wars which to me is all about story, environment and lore.

So first thing would be class story. I don't have to go to a different location for each story, but I want unique cutscenes and choices based on my character. We've been told the voice acting and such isn't the cost prohibitive part, so i'm assuming it's all the extra locations. All the classes could fight on say the same star destroyer and the difference could be the reason and the story. But we all fight the same content.

Two, the master and padawan story. Yes, this could also apply to non-force users. But the idea is for the companion quests, affection and decisions to actually mean something. By doing this you can start with a brand new padawan with very few skills and if you make good decisions, do some quests, and spend a ton of time with the companion you build them up into the most powerful companion in the game. This would be like a "legendary weapon" system seen in other games where you level up your companion. This would also be a great way to reintroduce the companion kits from beta that related to roles. Also, it would be a fantastic way to introduce more than 3 roles. At least add an enhancer and a debuffer role, maybe a crowd control role if the AI is smart enough.

3rd, more flashpoints with Story and disabled spacebar. Design each flashpoint to take about the same amount of time and give no option and people will start to remember what the purpose of a flashpoint was in the first place. Also, would be a great time to switch flashpoints to 5 or 6 per party. My idea would be 5 would pop the que and be enough for a challenging run, but a 6th would make for an easier run. If this isn't feasible, then bonus comms for Tanks/healers to get them queing enough to make up for the player imbalance.

Make storymode what it was said to be EASY. Nothing annoys me more than having to explain mechanics to beat a storymode op and sometimes even a FP. I can personally run Hardmodes without even checking out the mechanics but way more often than not random qued groups can not do so on storymode. Hardmode should be about 1-2 wipes per boss for an average geared group. Nightmare should be what it says, a nightmare that only the best groups clear on a good week. I'd say the target for ops time, at their launch, should be 1 hour for storymode, 2-3 hours for hard mode, and 3-5 weeks before anyone clears a nightmare mode. The point is to make storymode accessible content for 99% of your players and hardmode the progression content for 80%+ of your players. Then your true progression players can do nightmare mode which should come out 1-2 months after the ops launches.

Now to the lore, they are pretty good on this. I'm very pleased with the respect given to the Gree, the Rakata and many other aspects. The biggest thing I see missing is minigames. The obvious ones like pod or swoop racing, dejarik, sabaac, & pazak. I'd have solo and pvp versions. Then maybe a smuggler recurring event similar to the bounty hunter one. Also, a huge lore planet would be Yavin 4 on many levels of reasons why this should be in the game.

Environment is the simple and obvious part, a variety of planets. I'd also like to see a non-instanced capital ship for PvE quests and a working PvP persistent world. Cap it to however many can comfortably fit, but basically bring back the objective based PvP like Ilum had, just with less lag. This could be a great guild vs. guild playground.

Honestly, I think you could do all of this in one regular boxed size expansion.

Things i need in the upcoming (if there is any) expansion.

Level cup up to 70 or 80! Take your time and expand the universe, expand the already existing worlds, no need to make new planets from scratch! Maybe 1... The makeb expansion was little, 5 levels is nearly to nothing.

I would love as empire to have missions in Courasant as well.

I would love to see more crafting and crafting vendors. Add some unique items that you can gain with recipes.

2 new class and races! (an idea is " Senators " as healing and tank and assassins as dps classes) as for races, there are many (Pau'ans, Kaminoan, jawa, weekies, etc) I really love Kaminoan!!! They are very stylish. 2 classes that could evolve as neutral and choose your path in your way (empire or rep), that translates that they have 1 capital city and the choices they make, they turn into rep or empire.

Dont get confused when I say Assassins with Sith Assassins... We've seen many times assassins as a faction in starwars world... Tech guys with lots of poisons, they camuflage, they use gadgets, etc.

How the hell does doing the same thing day in and day out have long term value? Really, think about it. If they continue to add stuff like Oricon and Makeb, they'll continue to loose subbers until the game fades away with F2P players.

Put that on the list of things already occurring. Just look at the Legacy rewards coming for 2.6, they're all rehashed, remixed and recolored crap while all the new designs go to the CM. There is little to no reward for actually playing, just for buying. DGMW, I like the CM and the choice to buy, but I'd also like to have good things to work for as well.

This is purely from me-perspective as a player. I am not trying to argue against what people have wanted in this or other threads. I only want new operations (with NiMs from the get-go) and events. New races I see as fluff but perhaps new class altogether or possibly new specs for all the existing classes? To each their own, right?

well I tell you something, for those who say new engine and new mmo...

Starfighter its more like using new engine... So slightly, bioware could increase visuals and performance in the rest of the world.

An example is the fps, swtor gives me 30-80 fps, but starfighter gives me 100-110 fps... so they did something in starfighter, its not the same. I use a gtx780, with an old cpu, so the performance may increase if I add a new intel cpu.

There is no point of making new mmos, if they use the same old token and economy system. They better stick with it, if they plan a new star wars mmo, with the same features.

I love mmos less casual, lots of exploring and surprises, lots of crafting and lots of leveling, like world of warcraft was before they add BGs, the first 1,5 year.... Now world of warcraft is for grand mothers and grand fathers with their grandchildren. Tokens and token vendors, just make it so easy and since they already got that, no point for new/same mmo.

Till a new successful formula get discovered for mmo's, they better have to stick with swtor... except if they wish to spend million in development...

Why do people have to come in a crap on others for expressing their wishes and dreams? The OP didn't ask what we think Bioware should add to gain or retain subs. He didn't ask what we think is best for EA's investors. He asked what we'd like to see and he asked us to dream big!

An MMO is made up of people with different interests and desires. What I want might not be what you want, and in this context, that's OK. It's not as if the Bioware developers are going to read this thread and make plans accordingly.

-What I want in this mega expansion are more class and companion stories. More faction stories to go hand in hand would be peachy too.

-I'd like content to fully scale so I don't miss out on the stories in the operations. (More operations are a given, since that is the only content that has consistently been added.)

-Crafting needs to be revamped

-I'd like more things like the seeker droid quests to bring us back to the old worlds and I'd like to see the old planets enlarged.

Things I would want:

-New chapters for class stories. A whole bunch of them.

-Bigger planets that we can explore. That doesn't really exist right now. Every planet is designed to pretty much be seen in full while leveling. When I'm flying to my next mission, I want some large vast forest to catch my eye and beg me to come explore it. There's no quest-related reasons for me to do so, but who knows what's out there. Random mini dungeons containing nifty rewards. Some amazing scenery just for the sake of "ooo's" and "ahhhhs".

-Space exploration.

-New companions that come through story quests and side quests.

-More PVP maps and zones.

-I'd like to see one on one death match fights on the fleet. Kinda of like a wrestling tournament. And the game actually keeps score of who wins and who is currently the champion of the arena and so on. The fleet is huge, they can add another floor for this.

-A system in which you can use one of your alternate characters as a companion. Just for combat, obviously.

-More species for character creation. The game is currently lacking on exotic species of the Star Wars universe when it comes to our characters. (Figure it out, Bioware. If SWG could do it, so can you!)

-More classes would be nice. Classes that are a little more original or unique.

-Gear specific to more oddly shaped races... Such as Twi'lek. Why don't they have head bands and other cool helmets designed with their lekku in mind.

-Changes made to character animations... So they don't look so freakin stiff.

-Player housing. No, not decorations for our ships. Housing. Why can't my Inquisitor own property? He's got good credit.

-Decorations for your house. And ship. And none of this "This painting will appear in this location and cannot be moved" nonsense. Galaxies was able to do this as well. Make it happen.

-Just a whole lot of new content in general, really. *shrug*

Before i answer the OP, I want to explain a couple of things. 1. I have played rpg's for 30+ years both as a player and a DM/story teller/GM. 2. I've played WoW, EverQuest, Guild Wars, Final Fantasy 11, Elder Scrolls (3, 4, 5, and online open beta). I've found three kind of players they are; gamers, min/maxers, and pvp/trolls.

Now to answer the OP.

For the gamers i would like to see PVE servers be completely open world PVE; warzones are fine for pvp I'm all for it, but when your running on a PVE server and a quest you pick up takes you in to a PVP zone and it is your first time playing the game and you get flagged and killed by someone who has been doing nothing but PVP there whole life, not very fun.

For the min/maxers nothing. Everyone min/maxs to a degree so have fun playing the game.

For PVPers go play on a PVP server to your hearts content, but leave the attitude at your place. people are here to have fun.

Now over all, I would prefer to have the weapons system changed to allow for a force user of any type to use dual weapons or a saberstaff. Also I would like to see the gun classes to be able to have the same versatility as the force users.

As an experienced DM and player of many systems, i think a credit cap is a bad idea when you have a player driven economy (auction houses, GTN, Etc.), you can keep the cap but make it some what in tune with the player economy. [example: current F2P cap of 250k i would set it something like 10 mil ]

An improved skill tree system. I recommend setting it up so that you can pull from all three skill trees by spending 5 skill points across the tier. This makes it so people have more customization of bonus skills .

I would also like to see more of the current restrictions removed from the F2P and Preferred players, I know many people that love this game but can't afford the subscription costs all the time and a F2P account works better for them.

I would also like to see more Cartel Coin reward for achievements ( that would actually make me want to do them).

Could we get some decent looking armors and weapons in the game to, 90% of what is currently in there looks like rehashes of the stuff already in the game on NPC's.

What if you found out that Bioware were planning a massive expansion that was codenamed SWtOR 2 - because of the extensive improvements that were planned. The development was estimated to take about 5 years, rather than start from scratch, the decision made is to instead do: Level 65-100

what would you hope would be included in this game? and how should it be done. Bear in mind, the idea is to leave the missions and flashpoints of level 1-65 unchanged. Level 65 onwards is anybodies guess, the whole system could change, combat, everything from that point on. Furthermore, there would be an option to start from level 65 onwards if you have at least 1 character that reached level 65.

Feel free to propose all you want, from space games to force jumping & flying in planets, land on planets, a new enhanced combat system, anything you want within reaon, bear in mind you will still have access to level 1-65 zones and nothing much would be done to those zones although planets like Coruscant and Drumond Kass may have more zones added to them.

There is no massive sequel planned as the MMO bubble has popped.

we already have SWTOR 2.4

how about SWTOR 4.0 speculation

- 100+ star systems to fly around, mine trade combat, fully customizable ships

- landing on new added planets/ atmospheric flight

- Podracing, Pazaak, Casino

- Player bounties

- 3 massive open world sandbox planets added, Kashyyk, Dagobah and some weird named new planet

purpose: open world housing, exploring, "real" speeders with actual Star Wars behaviour, day/night/weather change

- 1 new sandbox planet added every year, with some themepark zones for dailies and the usual more of the same stuff

- 8 new professions to fit into the sandbox environments (Entertainer, Farmer, Animal trainer, furniture crafting, etc...)

AND GIVE EVERYONE THE BOOT WHO SUGGESTS TO ADD FUTURE "CLASS STORIES"

Swg player here. It would be amazing, best of both worlds

SWG:TOR

Edit: add Dantooine
