Cartel shop confusing and no search feature.

I want to buy a Tauntaun mount. I went into Cartel market last night and thought I saw a Tauntaun for sale with Cartel coins. I can't find it now!!! There is no "search" feature either. It's got to be the only shop online with no search feature!

I've found a Ashfall Tauntaun in the Cartel shop, BUT ITS NOT FOR SALE LMFAO.

Perhaps the Cartel shop is waiting on delivery!!!!!

Anyway, does anyone know how I can get a tauntaun for cartel coins?

I have 8k of coins but everything that catches my eye is "not for sale", only a "reclaim" button. OMG, why is it shown in Cartel coin shop when ya can't buy it ??????

Why do i subscribe lol!!!

You're looking in the Cartel Market section of the Collections window? Yeah, oddly it lists a Tauntaun, but not as available.

Instead, look in the Cartel Market directly (the funny gold symbol at the top R of your UI). On p4 of the Cosmetic tab, there's an Ashfall Tauntaun for the pricey sum of 3000CC. Way to rich IMHO.

FYI, the Collections window has all the Cartel gear that has ever been available, and sometimes even a few pieces that are upcoming. But a lot of that stuff is "embargoed" (i.e. no longer available, may come back some time). And yeah, it is in desperate need of a search! And I'd say also a button to have it just list gear you have (to me, its main purpose is to let you access gear you already bought).

FYI2: the Cartel Market window doesn't have everything. Some stuff can only be found (I think) in your Legacy window ("Character Perks" and Global Unlocs>Other). And yeah, I think some may only be accessed via the Collections as well??

There's some mission you have to undergo, i've never personally done it because the easiest way to get one (now, before 4.0) is to complete the Oricon story arc, and complete Dread Fortress SM for the free mount.

As I recall, they are similar, but not the same.

Yeah, the one you get from Oricon has padded armour; the two you can get on Hoth are more plain, with just saddles and such.

The Oricon one is really cool, but the two you can get from grinding out the taming mission are more like the ones from Empire Strikes Back.

Beware: the method is mildly tedious if you do it by gathering the domestication data, partly because of the unhigh success rate of the bait objects. If you have enough money, you can just shell 100K credits per Domestication Data at the vendor who sells the bait. (15 DD for the sub-only version, 20 DD for the one anyone can buy)

Most important, Oricon one have these ugly huge horns. I cant even look on it. Tauntaun from Hoth or CM have the original nice small one horns.

Success rate is not too bad, really. When I did them I got about one success per six tries. Which is enormously higher than say, trying to win the Kingpin's Rancor mount from the casino event.

You can also buy the TDD items from other players, either directly or via the GTN. There isn't nearly so much demand for them now as when they first came out, so you probably can get them that way for far less than the vendor price.

That's why I described it as unhigh rather than low. It's low enough to be annoying, but high enough to be useful.
