My apologies for being inactive in this thread, I was not available for a time. I'm happy to see that this thread is still somewhat active. I'll do what I can to update the original post with the suggested sets when I can.

 

Many people were displeased with BioWare's apparent lack of progress when it comes to adding new lore-friendly Jedi vestments to the game. I've been looking forward to these new sets, like many, but never involved myself too heavily in the discussion. Recently, this armor set was added to the next Cartel pack; a long awaited addition to the lore-friendly adaptive gear collection, and received a warm welcome. Along with it, this armor set was added. This however, did not receive a warm welcome for those of us who have been waiting for lore-friendly Jedi vestments, not by a long shot.

 

When I, and many others, saw this set we were not happy. It is the exact same as the Tythonian Aspiring Knight's Vestments, with a random part of the chest piece cut out. I'm certain someone, somewhere is going to enjoy using this new armor set, but the portion of the community who wants lore-friendly gear will not. This is where we are now, and this is why I'm making this thread.

 

This thread is going attempt to be a compilation of all lore-friendly, era-friendly Jedi vestments that are already in the game, as NPC armor or in a non-customizable form. Introducing these armor sets as adaptive armor in future Cartel packs would be nearly effortless, and profitable both from players wanting lore-friendly gear, and for BioWare's reputation as a company who listens to the player base and keeps their promises. Just copy and paste.

 

I've begun to compile images of NPC armor from planets across the galaxy, beginning at Tython, and Carrick Station.

 

If you want to contribute to this thread, feel free to post a suggestion of where the NPC/set is located, or post a high quality image of the set (no UI, nameplates, highest graphics settings). Remember, FPS is not an issue when taking screen shots, so set your settings to the highest for the best quality. Just upload the image to imgur, and link it here. This thread is currently highly incomplete, and only has a small fraction of what exists.

Full support to this thread. Bioware made plenty of cool, light and hood off armor sets, no reason to keep them away from players.

This is different from the Jedi initiate ones you've posted. v-neck area has less layers of clothing, color scheme is also different and there is a nice crotch flap.

 

I would love to get Thoma's variant from all the possible variants because of the the better colorable areas and less white lines.

On Tython in the starting area (looking for lost padawans, entrance to the cave, and saving holograms) they're surrounded by flesh raiders bent down doing bad things to them.

We're actually looking for full sets of armor. By the way, that is not the Rakata chest piece. What I mean is we're not looking to piece sets together, just find armor that isn't available to us but is in-game.

And can I just ask, why are "hoods down" so desired? I've been playing this game for a while now, and personally, hoods on Jedi robes can look awesome, especially on the robes in the first and third links. I get that people want to see their character's head, and some hoods are over large, but still...

That one pretty much exists in the game. It's the Jedi Battlelord's armor set, with the hood down. Get a white + pale brown applied and it looks pretty much the same.

 

Unfortunately, the hood down and the dye itself, as we know, do not exist yet in the game.

 

Also, unlike the other armors you see in the character creation, the one you mention was always in the game from the very start.
