Has anyone played around with Sentinel Tanking(most likely OT) specs and had some success? It seemed they have quite a few tanking skills/ damage reductions in the lower end of each tree.

maybe for flashpoints where you outlevel by a few levels, but def not for endgame raiding.

Without Soresu form, you'll have neither the threat nor the survivability to tank.

Aside from peeling trash aggro from squishies it's really not a thing for a sentinel. A DPS spec Guardian would do much better, but if you want to tank just go tanking Guardian.

There is not a tree devoted to tanking as a sentinel at the moment. We have the shared tree which is sort of a utility tree, then watchman which is a sustained dot based pve-centric dps tree, and combat which is a bursty mobility based pvp-centric dps tree. Edited December 14, 2011 by Doxide

Personally I say I don’t want a tanking Sentinel but if we could get a utility build (Dump a tree for a utility tree) with lots of stuns and CC so that a sentinel could be used to park mobs like an old school EQ Ranger.

Now I am by no means saying the class needs this, as that hasn’t really been the class design, but I would like it as that is the play style I enjoy.
