Turn them all on for good

Let's address the bantha in the room shall we? This year will probably have less new content than last year. So, just turn all (most) of the content on and leave it on.

Double Double: what does it matter at this point if you leave it on forever now? People will still level alts.

Bounty Week: the traffic is mostly in the bazaar. Not many do it anyway except that first Tuesday....

Gree Event: One of my favorites. Traffic is on Ilum in its own area. Not many do it anymore. The guilds can manage their own participation accordingly.

Nar Shadaa Night Life: Has its own casino area. Chat would die down after the first few weeks. Be kinda cool to have quests that go through there and real people are playing.

Rakghoul Event: This one you probably need to rotate like it is. Too many players would freak about the plague.

Life Day Event: see Rakghoul above but replace plague with snowballs. :)

What do you guys think? I just don't see that it matters much anymore.

I was definitely thinking this last week about the double "event"

It would be great if it was on all the time, but I'll bet they notice an uptick in players during the event, and if it was on all the time, that uptick would likely die down and then they'd have NOTHING to get another uptick going except to increase the size. 3x, 4x, 12x. After each event everyone would complain that "THIS is how it should be ALL the time!!!!" and on and on. No one would ever be satisfied once they got used to that level.

But yeah, I pretty much agree, if there is no plan for anything else exciting going forward, why not?

Having everything or mostly everything on at once might make for a bit of chaos, but I think people would get used to it eventually. I'd be for it.

Rakghoul plague would be good if it was limited to a definable area, like the tunnels, and the sickness buff fell off if you left the zone just like the GSI buff drops if you leave Makeb. That way I might finally get around to getting Lokin. Never bothered.

...I was actually watching for the last Rakghoul event, because I don't have Lokin on some of my characters. I, uhm, didn't do it. Because... I'm having some serious "don't really care" issues when it comes to SWTOR lately. The complete sham that was the last Companion Reunion(s) showed me how little gas is less in the SWTOR tank.

I would, actually, enjoy having longer access to the various events. I never got into Gree events, because there's a lot of PvP (which I don't like) but, I'd do more Bounties, or more Nightlife, if those were on. Maybe bring back the full spectrum of events, run them 2 weeks, and overlap them.

Double XP is their alternative to in game events.

If it was on all the time then there would be no option to include it in the update highlights, which might make them seem a little light. Plus I think what people mean is double CXP, your pretty much level synced back down to planetary max by the time you leave the fleet and it seems a little pointless to rush through the base game just to reach the little content produced in 2017 and be bored.

So while I agree that CXP should be halved or the rewards doubled they could have done that at any point but as its the 'end game' experience halving it would half the amount of end game content.

While the other events could run full time, should they do that then they wouldn't be able to be twitted about to break up the CM sale posts.

No to double XP - we already lvl too fast and some of us like to level a sedate rate. What they could do is make the XP boosters double XP

No to rakghoul - when people explode on you in pvp when you kill them. You are given the plague. This affects you all match.

No to bounty - there is a Boss guy on Hutta that shares the same space. You can only kill him and get the achievement when the bounty contract isn’t running.

No to life day - it’s a Christmas thing. No one wants people doing outside of Xmas because it would get annoying. It would also water down the achievements.

I don’t mind the other things being on, but not those above 4.

We're already getting x12 xp that we used to get. CXP could use a boost in some areas, though - like the weekly searching for allies. It's a one-off mission that can only be done once per week so it should give a lot more than just 300-400 CXP when dailies give CXP in the thousands.

A perma Rakghoul Tunnels would be ok with me IF having the rakghoul virus prevented all forms of travel. So if you have the plague, you will need to get a vaccine, or die, before leaving the tunnels.

Gree Event: Ancient Gree Relays - I think they'd need to move the one on DK, at least, to another location since it's in a newbie quest area. It wouldn't have to be that far. Just move it to the northwest about 200m so it's not in the middle of those stealthy mobs that newbies have to hunt.

I'm actually ambivalent about Bounty Week. Maybe if they moved the bounty boss on Hutta? (I have to admit that I haven't done bounties since the second week it was out. Got all achievements and maxed rep. And the items on the rep vendor don't appeal to me). /shrug

And definitely no to Life Day being year round. It's already an annoying 2-3 week experience to pass through an area and get pelted with snowballs and confetti. No thanks.

Nightlife: I don't see any problem with this being permanent. I already have all the achievements from this as well, and a lot of slot machine tokens, along with a pile of Golden Certificates, left over from the first event. So while I probably wouldn't participate in it, I'm sure there are many out there that would.

The Hutta guy is still the same npc, he’s just been retasked during the event. So moving him isnt the problem, they would need to make another guys as well as moving him.

I never go to the fleet when the Rakghoul event is on and I know some others don’t either. Getting splurged on isn’t fun when your trying to do stuff. Having that event on full time, even if it wasn’t in pvp, would reduce activity on the fleet.
