paowee Posted August 16, 2013 Share Posted August 16, 2013 Styrak - Possibly the most meaningful raid fight for dps parses in my opinion - no class favoring (due to minimal or no AoE and no real range conflicts) and no RNG (trapped in nightmare but I've found that to be neither a dps loss or gain). Just saw this in post#3, contrary to your statement I think this fight is very biased for certain specs. Burst specs like MM/SS will do *vastly* more DPS than DoT specs since the numerous target resets will "cleanse" your DoTs, meaning re-application, ramp-up time, and less DPS. All 5 of these fights are 8 Man Nightmare I also agree that the styrak fight is fairly class bias to more bursty classes rather than dot classes for about half the fight, the rest is fairly balanced though for all dps. I do it for the last two doing it before that and you're hurting your raid. I used to do it back in HM for giggles but not much room to do that in NM. paowee Posted August 19, 2013 Share Posted August 19, 2013 I'll update this in an hour. Busy work monday today . Anyway.. some feedback as a Sniper/Slinger in 16-man Styrak. It looks like we got to be on root and knockback duty during Chained Manifestation. I can think of no other class that can easily/reliably do the job better than Snipers/Slingers. My first time doing it i was having problems with tab targetting and clicking Styrak (camera angle). How are you guys able to deal with this? In the end i just used Focus target so i can swap from the add to Styrak easily. The measly 15 FPS in 16-man didnt help too :| Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
