So what choices do you always make?

I generally try all the options at least once, to see what happens, but now that I'm on my fourth run through most class storylines I find some patterns emerging.

My first BH I played super into the whole Mando thing, but ever since then, it's been Maximum Whatever in all my conversations with Mandalore. Just pay me, man.

My agents have never forgiven or given quarter to the SIS people. After the stunt they pulled, well... they don't deserve it.

My Jedi Knights will never turn down the opportunity with the twi'lek leader's daughter on Tython. I'm so bad at the Code... Likewise I think I turned in the Padawan couple on Tython maybe once, though I've told them off a few times.

I always send Kaliyo to retrieve the GEMINI frequency so I can berate/exile/shoot Jorgan.

I always save Vette and leave Torian behind. He's a Mandalorian, he's supposed to be able to handle himself. :|

Oh, and the most important - I will never kneel before Valkorion.

I never romance Corso. His hillbilly-ness annoys me.

I never forgive or am kind to Quinn after his betrayal. Forget that guy.

I never play a character who uses a pole-saber. I hate the way they look. My Consulars and Inquisitors are lightning/pebble throwers and healers.

I always bring Tanno Vik on Belsavis to save the Hawkeyes, and punch that criminal they are escorting. It leads to a hilarious exchange where Vik then one-ups me by beating the heck out of the guy, and it just cracks me up every time.

Things I did "wrong" once and then always do the other way now:

After sacrificing Ava Jaxo once, five consecutive Troopers have all chosen to save her. I'll never let her die again.

After getting a Dark Jaesa once, three further Warriors have all gone Light Jaesa. She seems to be far more rational and easy to work with than Dark Jaesa.

After romancing Skavik once (just to annoy Corso), I'll never play another character who gets space-STDs again.

Does he really? Now I’m going to have to play another trooper to see this

I can make a DS V character who would burn whole worlds to get what they want and murder innocent children without remorse, but I can never make a character cheat on their love interest. Ever.

Also, I recently discovered that, despite it making total sense for my assassin to betray the Mandalorians in KotFE chapter 14, I can't do it. Mandos hold too much of a place in my heart. I literally debated over that choice for probably 30 minutes. I went and found YouTube videos of what would happen if I did, and I just kept thinking, "Nope, nope, nope, nope, nope!" So I came up with a rationalization and cooperated with them fully. :D

Similarly, I can't execute Jorgan. That one's easy to rationalize for me. He's a valuable asset, and he's obviously punished himself enough over the deaths of his team members that he won't make the same mistake again. Works for even my darkest toons. :p

I have a question : are choices legacy bound ? For example if character "X" killed Kayla Djannis, can newly made character "Y" spare her or has to kill her again?

Not bound at all. Kill her or spare her all you want. Just like you could have 6 different troopers all married to Elara

All your choices are per character, so to use your example X can kill her, but Y doesn't have to.

When playing a Sith Warrior, when I am confronting General Gisele Organa on Alderaan, I always strangle her boyfriend, then release him when she gives me what I want and then I kill everyone in the room except him. He asks why and I say "I am Sith. It's my nature," or something like that.

I do the exact same thing, every single time! It's one of my favorite scenes in the game. And I consider it a nuanced scene from a dark character's perspective.

As sad and cruel (and satisfying!) and those decisions are, my warrior honestly believes she's being merciful - or at least as merciful and restrained as she's capable of being for enemies of the Empire. The general is toast as soon as the warrior walks in there, nothing can save her. But my warrior is charmed by Blenks's youth and passion.

Me neither and it's mostly because I like Tim Omundson and don't want to extinguish his presence in the story. I come up with different rationalizations for allowing him to live on different characters though. My (dark, always) warrior let him live because.. surprise surprise, she actually developed a bit of an attraction to him while they worked together. I don't headcanon any romance between them, just that she was lonely and missed her own husband/military man.

- kill Vaverone Zare instead of Nariel Pridence ( smuggler story)

- dress Ashara in Noble Attendant armor set

- spare Overseer Harkun

- refuse to recruit the other Dashade ( where is Khem Val, by the way? )

- accept to join the Mandalorians when Mandalore the Vindicated invites my character to do so

- make fun of old man Baras every ocasion i get

- forgive Malavai Quinn in class story ( sith warrior)

- rush through JC story like mad to reach Balmorra and recruit Zenith

- spare Master Yonlach and Jaesa's parents

I never, ever, under no circumstance whatsoever, take an LS choice.

It's hardly possible, if at all, to play for the story if this is true. An example is Watcher X in the Agent story, Nar Shaddaa. It's just impossible to let him go after the way the story plays out. My Sniper is Light V so this wasn't an issue, but my Operative is Dark Side. But my Operative couldn't let Watcher X go. A lot of alignment choices are really designed to make the story fanatic THINK.

Of course, that's just my opinion, anyway :p

As for my own personal choices:

--My Imperial Agents always choose all seduction options in the class story. Think James/Jane Bond. Kaliyo even likes when you do this, because it's what she would do in your place.

--I always treat all companions with a certain modicum of respect; even my DS Juggernaut and Assassin will show a certain amount of "manners." Dark Siders don't have to only act like total (rhymes with sticks).

--My Smugglers will always choose snarky conversation options. They abound for the Smuggler, and they can be outright hilarious.

--I always prefer the standard RGB color crystals for blasters and lightsabers (red, blue, green). My Jedi will have blue or green lightsabers and my Sith will have red ones; even if I am playing a DS Jedi or LS Sith.

--I always save Theron at the end of the Nathema story flashpoint. He's far too valuable to sacrifice. Even if this will have no effect whatsoever on the 6.0 storyline. You just don't blithely throw away valuable resources. Even my DS 5 Juggernaut saved him.

--I never kill Jorgan or Kaliyo. One of my toons did banish Jorgan just to see how the cutscene went.

--My Sith Warriors always save Vette. My Bounty Hunters always save Torian.

Most importantly, the most sacred rule of all:

Absolutely Absolutely ABSOLUTELY never ever ever ever EVER buy Cartel Packs. I'll buy COINS, for decorations and once in a blue moon, the occasional mount, and some of the legacy-wide unlocks (particularly ship unlocks). But under no circumstances whatsoever do I buy Cartel Packs.

99.9999999999999999999999999999999999999 of all development on this game is "Remember kiddies, keep on buying more and more CARTEL PACKS so we at EA can stroke our (rhymes with sticks) ever more briskly."

You know, I don't know.

I have a very versatile cast of characters, prolly because I have so many of them, and I don't like making my characters copycats of each-other and i wanna experience as many variations of the writing as possible.

All I can think of is I banged Pierce on both of my female warriors, and I romanced Felix on both of my female Consulars and banged Jaxo on both my male troopers. So just some kinda minor gender specific things like that.

I always play every character different. However there are some choices I traditionally stand by:

1. I always kill Jaxo.

2. I always stop using Mako permanently once I get Gault.

3. I mostly always blackmail Jadus

4. I always let Vector send his Killiks to make House Cortes joiners.

5. All my female characters sleep with Theron

6. My male smugglers and male agents always flirt every chance they get in vanilla. After vanilla its Lana.

7. My Jedi always kills the emperor Vitiate.

8. I always help Uphrades.

9. I don't execute the captured people in assault on tython or korriban excursion.

10. I don't let Oteg die.

11. I usually do not execute the boarding party crew in that flashpoint.

12. I save the engineers on the Esseles and kill the Captain on the Black Talon.

13. I don't leave Theron to die.

14. I always force choke Quinn when he betrays.

15. I scare Theron on Iokath

16. make a wookie roar with Gault in Profit and Plunder

17. Kill Ako Domi on Nar Shaddah (funny lines when you do that)

18. imitate the general guy on Imp planet quest for Belsavis story.

While I've still not finished KotFE/ET, here's the usuals I tend to go wtih.

-Always leave the Ambassador behind on the Esseles. Really lady, being an ambassador does not work like that.

-Always save the engineers on the Esseles.

-Never kill the captain on the Black Talon. He was just trying to be reasonable.

-Vette's collar comes off ASAP. If I could get away taking it of on Korriban, I would.

-Smugglers have to be Sith Purebloods just to occasionally pop Corso one when he gets an attitude.

-Always kill Thana Vash. I can't tolerate Stupidly Evil.

-Save Lord Cytherat. While I couldn't properly join Malgus, I seriously agreed with the points he made even if his execution of those points really needed work.

-Exile the Alderaanian noble in the SW story. Best revenge on a rich guy is making him a poor guy.

-Kill Baras. Despite the above, I don't put it past Darth Tons o' Fun to not go for a comeback and mess with me.

-Never side with the SIS on my Agent. Yeah, the Empire did a number on my Agent, but the Republic wasn't much better exploiting that number.

-Always go the peaceful route with Jedi on my Sith. I can never get tired of a Jedi flipping out that a Sith isn't being all cackle and murdery.

-Be nice to Harkun. Considering the man's used to the standard Sithly way of things, being nice is only going to make him sure I'll eventually put a hit on him so just knowing he will always be looking over his shoulder's ample enough of a slow burn torture.

-Smugglers and Agents will be shameless flirts until they eventually settle down.

-Must throw as much bling and skin baring on my Sith Purebloods because they're showoffs. If there was a 'so hot I gotta kiss myself' emote, I would pick it up for them.

-Always forgive Malavai. Not his fault he got stuck between two warring Sith.

-Never accept Mandalore's offer to become Mandalorean. My BHs figure there's enough Mando dominance in the BH job field that they're going to do the stand out thing by not joining the crowd.

-Never romance Nadia Grell. It's just too creepy for me.

-Never romance Corso. He gets on my nerves too much.

-Never romance Vector. The joiner thing with the larvae under the skin's too much body horror to me.

-Always take the snarky dialog option on every character.

-Never turn in the padawan couple in love on Tython.

-Always take the cannibal dialog on Dromond Kaas in the SW story. The demented look on the SW as they're hamming it up always cracks me up.

-Kill Kaliyo. My Agents never liked having her on the crew to begin with and for the Alliance, she's a walking HR issue when that's the last thing we need.

-Kill Broonmark. He's up there with Skadge as most pointless companion on my character's rosters.

-Never kill off Republic prisoners. They're potentials for prisoner exchanges and in not killing them I'm going to make them question the Republic's insistence that the Empire is a murder machine.

-Always side with Xalec against the miners and make them pay for his father's shrine. I know people who's ancestral burial grounds have been looted so this one struck a little too close for me.

-Always give the Mandalorians the intell since how can I expect them to do well if they're not properly informed?

-Always do the opposite of what Garza wants. She's practically War Crimes on legs as far as my Troopers are concerned.

Choices I always make:

Punch Koth: He set a quantum bomb on the Gravestone (I don't kill him, I just hit him in the face to show him he messed up)

Not blow up the Spire: Kaliyo is insane + I didn't want the blood of all those Zakuulans on my hands.

Let Jorgan infiltrate the Comm building (If that's what it was): Jorgan seems like the perfect choice for that mission, Kaliyo is unstable and I would not want her to undergo that mission.

Choices I never (will make again) make:

The BH quest on Hutta where you have to go kill Nem'ro's old accountant, I did it once for the DS points, but then I went to his wife, I said "Look at what I found in the swamp!" (you're holding his head in a bag) to her and she started screaming, it was not a small scream, it was the kind of scream that only happens when somebody is deeply terrified. I couldn't bear to listen to her scream anymore (and because I had made a horrible and sadistic choice) so I reset the quest and went back, but I spared him.

Leave Vette to die: No! I loved Vette as a SW and it became really sad if you decide to let her die, so I let Torian die, because he's a Mandalorian and he would die honorably in combat.

Abandon the Republic (As a Republic character): You would be killing those you once called your allies.

Abandon the Empire (As an Imperial character): Same as previous reason.

It varies I have 2 JC's and 2 Sith Inquisitors. I have full dark side JC and Sith Inquisitor who are cruel as possible in main story. Then I also have another JC and Sith Inquistor's who are neutral that goes back and forth between light and dark side choices in the main story and yet they all make these same choices in the KOTFE/KOTET expansions

1.) kneel before Valkorion and ally with him

2.) Kill Koth

3.) use all of Valkorion's powers when he offers

4.) desire the throne and choose to become emperor

5.) Try to kill Satele Shan, you do get the chance to try it in the expansion

6.) Keep Senya and Arcann around they are only useful tools

7.) Kill Scorpio every single time

8.) Flirt with Empress Ascina and be nice to her

There are other choices I make but these are the main ones I can think of at the moment

- I always choose Khem over Zash on every single SI i've played so far.

I would also gladly let Ashara on Taris, either send her back to the Jedi or outright kill her there (depending on my current SI's alignment) if that was an actual option and not just a fake one.

- I always remove Vette's collar, tried to keep it on my very first DS SW to see how far you could go with her, but she gets used to it and it's not fun after that point because she won't talk to you unless you take it off, so now, i just take it off either at her first or second attempt to get rid of it, depending on the character.

- I always spare Bengel and Praven on my JK (well, that's mostly always clones of the same character anyways, so the choices are pretty much always the same with all the various clones of her i've made)

- I always turn the reactor off on Zakuul

- I never let Kaliyo blow up the Spire, so never kill Koth

- never make a choice were you can kill either Jorgan or Kaliyo (even though i really don't like her, but killing my companions, is not my thing)

- always let Senya go away at the end of KOTFE, and so always save her and Arcann during KOTET

- always save Torian over Vette

- alway keep Dramath and take these DS points even on my most LS characters.

- never kill SCORPIO (even though that was something i originally planed to do)

- Always choose the Peacekeeper option at the end of KOTET

- always romance Theron on my JK and her clones, always romance Jorgan on all my female troopers, always become a Madalorian and romance Torian on my female BHs, always romance Vector on my female IAs.

Never romance Lana (did it once up to Iokath to see the romance, but that was not supposed to be this character's final romance, which was a good thing as i was quite forced to break up with Lana just to be able not to kill Quinn, then went for Arcann on that character, because that was the romance i actually wanted to see on that character)

- always flirt with Cytharat on my male SIs and never flirt with Lemda

Always save Cytharat as well.

- always save Theron at the end of Nathema

Wel obviously most of these choices are the ones i always make now, but i've tried different things before getting there.

It doesn't work like you're implying.

She gets away even if you try to shoot her down at the end of KotFE.

On Voss in KotET, you can save her (and subsequently accept Arcann into the Alliance) even if you tried to shoot her down.

I actually did kill Quinn on one SW who had married him in the class story time, but she then decided that she preferred Lana, and when Quinn came back, she let him have it. (Headcanon: she took it badly that MQ didn't just leave to look for her after he had promised to always be loyal to her / serve her unfailingly / etc., while LB did, indeed, drop *everything* to come looking for her *without* such a promise. The things we (don't) do for love...)

Man, though, the look on Quinn's face when she did him in. Alone among all the people in this game who got offed by a lightsabre, he looked like it *hurt*.

Well yeah, i know, but the choice i always make is to let her go, and then save them both.

To be fair, Quinn did try to find the SW and didn't stop untill he was imprisonned.

Thing is none of the choices about Quinn were satisfying for my SW, i didn't want to kill him, imprison him or continue to romance him, but had no other choices than these, so i took him back anyways but went for Arcann right after that.

Dumping Lana was easier than i thought it would be though
