Empress Acina or Emperor Vowrawn: Who's The "Canon" Choice?

As the title says, it's been a question RP'ers have been asking themselves ever since Iokath came out. A lot if not all of the Sith/Imperial RP guilds I know over at Darth Malgus don't move beyond the post-Iokath timeline because of the very fact they don't know what continuity is "canon" within the bounds of the game. Will we ever learn who the current "canon" ruler of the Sith Empire is or will the choice forever maintain divergent continuities?

Personally I'd say let the "canon" be that both Acina and Malcom died on Iokath, that would be the easiest route or have whoever survives die at a later point. Because I really think Darth Vowrawn would make an excellent Sith Emperor. But it would also give the RP community much needed clarity as to which continuity is the right one to follow.

My guess is that early in 6.0, both Acina and Malcom will be killed off, leaving Vowrawn and whoever for the Republic in charge. That might be the catalyst to all-out war or what prompts the PC to take action. They can't continue indefinitely with four possible different leaders.

Yeah same here. there was a death choice made on Iokath, Acina and Malcom's run in the game is more or less finished.

which ever of the two survived i expect there will be a mention somewhere in the game that either one of them are mentioned for doing something and escorted out of the game for good. Vowrawn takes over the vacant spot left by Acina.

From what I've seen, the "canon" choice of current ruler at RPing-community on Darth Malgus is Wowrawn, due the Jedi Knight being game's poster boy which means that he'll take light side choices and aligns with the Republic.

At least, that's how it was with my guild though we never managed to move beyond Iokath as we were waiting for 5.10 or new expansion to shed light into this, and before that happened, my guild died out.

Indeed? Perhaps your guild was one of the very few or so that chose Vowrawn as the canon ruler because from what I know majority of the community hasn't chosen anything thus far, they're sticking to the pre-Iokath timeline and await any further information. But I wouldn't be surprised if a few RP guilds that aren't tied to the wider RP community and RP more on their own/independently have opted to choose Vowrawn as their canon ruler. But it's a very tricky slope, because by doing that the particular guild will probably isolate itself even further as the wider DMRP community hasn't moved beyond the event at Iokath yet.

The largest Sith/Imperial RP hub on Darth Malgus at the moment is probably the Spheres of Influence Discord server and I think everyone there has agreed to not move beyond the Iokath storyline and sticking to the state of the galaxy pre-Iokath but post-KotET. We've agreed to keep the timeline that way until further information is released and the Repside guilds have come to the same decision. The wider RP community you can find on the DMRP Enjin forums or the DMRP Discord follows that way of thinking.

I do follow the DMRP-forums on Enjin (but not that actively as I don't have time for RP anymore) but never looked up at Discord. I remember it being discussed that Wowrawn was seen as the possible continuation to be the next Emperor but that was some time ago, things change.

It was discussed aye, the problem however is that no one dares to try to form a consensus with the rest of the community. Because most prefer to wait for an official decision rather than forming player consensus. It's like how most Jedi RP guilds avoid roleplaying on Tython entirely until they know whether there's Jedi down there or not.

Replaced by whom, though?

(Thinks)

(Ponders)

(Realises)

It's inevitable. Empress Malora. :rak_01::rak_03:

Malora is cool and all, but really, her becoming Empress of the Sith at the cost of Vowrawn? That's unacceptable. Vowrawn is the perfect candidate to return the Sith Empire to its glory days. We should be looking for ways to prolong Vowrawn's life so he can stay the Sith Emperor for as long as possible.

Vowrawn has *Always been right there at the Top. All his time in the council and other times of Importance. Acina somehow jumped in in the brief "Power Vacuum > Power Grab",(Wasn't she supposed to be more of a "Book Worm" type?) a "Johnny come lately", Usurper. When our characters start Acina offers the Arcanum mission to save the Sith Artifacts from Lord.....T...T something from the Dread Masters. She was a "Whoever" while again Vowrawn again, right at the top making crucial decisions. This Malora person a Real even moreso "Nobody" this time. Vowrawn on his Knees before Arcann, that's a bit disturbing, hopefully that video will never make it out of Zakuul's security camera databanks.

Well at least she attempted to be a sith with the duplicious nature and failing upwards if skill and ability are not enough. Not every Sith is a master in lightsaber arts or even that strong in the force, as the sith have other means to exaggerate their strength well beyond that capability: fear, deception, blackmail are a few choices, being surrounded by fanatically loyal and more powerful Sith is also another.

Malora may not of been the brightest diamond in the rough when you encountered her, but she clearly became a Darth, so she must have some power and capability to reach that point. As Quinn puts it: You may have only considered the capability of a typical sith with Malora. :p
