A level 70 Scrapper Scoundrel performs a blaster whip in the air and a bludgeon on the ground. Kind of concerning because we don't know if this is a graphic bug or an actual different ability (weaker) when performed from the air.

Updating this one time because I was able to clarify it is in fact a bug. in chapter 1 on the first expansion scrapper scoundrel performs bldugeon in air and on ground, while on alderaan and belsavis an air bludgeon was showing as a blaster whip, and when tested multiple times repeated the error graphic.

 

so, its not intended. since it is not intended it is possible that in fact the bug nerfs bludgeons damage down to blaster whip during usage.

 

the "blaster whip" effect can be tested out and replicated by fighting the monolith champion in "dreams and visions" the scrapper scoundrel only uses blaster whip on the monolith.
