buddyleex Posted January 20, 2012 Share Posted January 20, 2012 Ran a normal 8man EV run today and everything was normal until ancient pylons. Around completing the 2nd rune when the 2 elite creatures come out, 3 elite creatures would spawn 10 seconds after the set of 2 comes out. We did this on normal on Monday and did not encounter this level of difficulty on normal mode. We zoned out, made sure it was set to normal 8 man, and reset the operation. This did not correct the issue. Anyone else having this issue on 8 man normal Ancient Pylons? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Igurg Posted January 20, 2012 Share Posted January 20, 2012 We thought we were having the same problem until we actually thought about how the puzzle works. If you figure out the quickest way to complete the puzzle, you never get the 5 giant bugs. For us, it was always using the left console which gave us something like 2 spins, 3 spins, 2 spins, 2 spins. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I don't remember after the first spawn of 2 elites that 10-15 seconds later a spawn of 3 elites would come out. Katalystika Posted January 20, 2012 Share Posted January 20, 2012 Something is fishy with this fight now. We had one instance where the two elites spawned and with them spawned 5 strongs. It was harder than in hardmode with 8 players and we got frustated around the fourth try. I hope they fix this soon. Blutelf Posted January 20, 2012 Share Posted January 20, 2012 The fight was changed so that a) the pylons now reset if you take too long to solve b) you no longer have to solve southern before northern c) you no longer have to only use one console to solve them d) if you take too long on one wheel more adds will spawn Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
alkerayn Posted January 20, 2012 Share Posted January 20, 2012 We had this issue, but we found out the quickest routes for our raid and made the healers keep spamming on the one side it was decided on for every wheel, It worked out fine and we downed it nps. Beardling Posted January 20, 2012 Share Posted January 20, 2012 Another way of avoiding this in EV HM is ALWAYS locking south first. The rest is pretty simple, divide to two groups of 4, always press left/right keypad. Never say..left right left left. Just keep pressing either left or right.
