Receive a code you can give a friend which will give them access to Chapter I: The Hunt along with a feww level 60 If you want to opt in to receive emails, go to your account page on swtor.com and you opt in there.

Maybe no-one knows and I know there is a low chance for a dev answer but I would like to know how this works in a few situations.

1) My friend is a current sub but has lost interest in the game. Can I give him the free level 60 to try and rekindle his interest and will it work for him as a sub?

2) Another friend is not a sub so I give him the free level 60 and he can play chapter One. Great. Questions that spawn from this are:

a) Can that character level to 65 or will he be stuck at L60?

b) If my friend later subs will he still get his free level 60 for subbing?

c) At the end of Chapter One how many companions do you have? It would hurt if it is none, or maybe just Lana.

It's none. You don't get Lana until the start of Chapter 3 (exception being if you have Treek or HK-51, they stick with you)
