Ya I don't blame you, when I was young and immature I'd run when I was wrong too. Played that game for just shy of 6 years starting not long after BC launched and they would buff and nerf classes with almost every single major patch. Like I said more than likely they simply didn't change them the way you in your infinite wisdom decided they should and... you whined and bailed. I just hope you do a lot more bailing and a lot less whining.

Leveling as scoundrel healer was not that much slower, opener can do 75-100% of standard mobs, you have pve abilities that can help. Never felt slow. Using Akaavi spar increased it, shes got good aoe as well. Dying less too. I guess dying less and killing almost as quick is bad...
I used to be Part of the community But the aussie dollar is strong with this one.

Since when are permanent choices more fun and why are we even given a chance to respec then... just make another specialisation at lvl20 and there is no way back... u either heal or dps or tank. The system is doin exactly what a lot of ppl said... its turning ppl away from anything else then dps. I wanna pvp, that is wahy i play games wich doesnt mean i dont enjoy pve and specially in a game so good i can pve a lot, and it doesnt mean i cant tank just because i play dps spec in pvp. Furthermore the argument u dont want a monkey that doesnt know how to tank or heal cause he just respeced just doesnt stand. So u r telling me one can play different alts and be good at it, but one cannot master 2 specs on the same character...cmonpls! And like some idiot with half brain cant make a tank and a heal alt and screw ur group on that one.

Anyway i stopped tanking cause at lvl 28 i just cant afford 30k+ respecs so i actually saved some money so i could respec into dps and be suitable for most situations... i can pvp, i can solo, i can pve... not all good, but i can. As a tank i m hitting mobs with wet nuddles wich isnt fun if u r solo and in pvp i am nothing more then a mosquito that is a little harder to kill... so dps lfg now it is.

If you just wait a week the cost resets, doesn't it? Just calm down with the respecs.

So i should have a pvp week and a pve week, one week playing tank other week playing dps... i mean, i know i am exagerating but not all of us have time to lvl alts and one respec a week seems a bit harsh... if i could have at least have a different spec usable only in pvp, but how do we count world pvp then!

Anyways i kinda made my peace with it... group pve content is kinda hard to do, since there is not a lot of demand for melee dps but if i spam for couple of hours i can get into some FP in between i quest and pvp. I knwo i m not tanking anymore and as the content gets harder and builds more complex i am less likely to ever pick up on that since i dont practice now when i should.

Why would anyone want to restrict my choice in an choice-based mmo? It's cheaper and faster to respec level 50 with level 80 valor and full bound dps/tank gear than to make new alt isn't it?

That just proves, main reason behind making role changing difficult somewhat dissagrees with BW's policy to make a character truly yours. Plus, it breaks community and instead bonding with your guildmates/friends you're bound to PUG and in flashpoint terms - hope your "new friend" isn't a ninja.

There's really no reason to make such restrictions, well, other than the fact, BW's coders are either really lazy or bad at their job. There is, afcourse another possibility, since EA is such a money hungry bastard, it is possible BW is heavly understaffed, which would explain why it takes 3 months after the official release to implement things like guild banks or even better, the thing they were so proud of at the begining - legacy system..

guess what i'm trying to say is, there's really nothing wrong with dual-spec for anyone. story won't suffer from this, since all classes share the same storyline (whether i'm a dps or a tank or a healer, if i'm a consular type, i will have the same story as other consulars whether they are shadows or sages). community won't suffer either, on the contrary, it will be much easier to find good party within friends range, it will also be a lot easier to level up for certain classes. but the main reason, there should be a dual-spec is that there would be a significaly tighter bond between me and my character, since i wouldn't get bored so fast with it.

to go even further, imo, having in mind this mmo was released in 2012 - dual spec should contain both two or more* skill-tree sets plus two sets for two specializations in my class and two skill-bar sets so i don't have to reassign my keybinds each time i respec.

*why the hell should i pay to see which type of my classe's spec i like to play the most?

if you are one of those people who don't like respec idea - DON'T RESPEC! don't force other people to think the way you do. as i said, it's a choice-based mmo, your in-game world is what you shape it to be and dual-spec can only help you to get more controll over your character as well as put you in position of being in charge of what you'r character does in the game instead of being forced to do something for the rest of you gameplay.

some say, instead of respec, you should just roll another character, well, following BW's idea of this game - MOST DEFINATELY NOT! You should stick with your character since it defines you! It's unique in every way and should be treated as such. Your character, your name, your legacy, it all connects. So yes- for rolling another character which is a sister/brother etc. and no- for rolling another character with other spec.

Great post Carousel.

Just like to add that the amount of tanks needed changes for certain fights in ops, with some needing only 1 so the other tank either stays a tank or switches to dps for those fights to be efficient. If BW doesn't like that behavior they shouldn't promote it in the first place.

Wonder how long till that troll comes back.

I reset my characters skills for free a month ago. I went back last night and it was not free.

The reset does not seem to apply to my characters for some reason.
