Elethentil
Hey hi. I was experiecing some lagging with game and i would like your opinions. I play the game with everything set on low/off My system information are: Operating System: Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit System Model: P5QL PRO Processor: Intel® Core2 Quad CPU Q8300 @ 2.50GHz (4 CPUs), ~2.5GHz Memory: 4096MB RAM Available OS Memory: 4096MB RAM DirectX Version: DirectX 11 User DPI Setting: 96 DPI (100 percent) System DPI Setting: 96 DPI (100 percent) Display information: Card name: NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GT Display Memory: 2797 MB Dedicated Memory: 1005 MB Shared Memory: 1791 MB Those are from the Dxdiag.txt file. They are not top but i believe they are good. Perhaps im wrong. Not really good with pc hardware. Is there any suggestions? About changing something in my hardware? Or using some programm that will make my H/Y run SWTOR smoother? Tnx in advance.
Juanxlink
The code is the issue, not the hardware.

Dayfax
OP, did you try the DX9 "fix"? That might improve your frame rates.
SBite
what do you mean the code? He means that the game runs sub par even for ppl that have top systems. Look like there are some problems currently with the client program that BW still doesn't seem to be able to solve. Iron_Lord
Your computer seems like a decent enough machine. I am not 100% sure, but most say the the game is CPU heavy and not GPU. Of course the 9series Nvidia was released in 2008, it might be good to upgrade that one soon. I'm running the game without issues on a: ASUS G51vx laptop Dual core 2.0Ghz 1GB Nvidia Gtx 260M 4GB RAM The only lag I experienced was, when my ISP had latency problems. But I also play on a low pop server (The Defenestator). Max Players on the Fleet during peak times is 12 - 18. Even an organized raid yesterday with 12 people on Belsavis was no problem. To sum it up: - Could be the 9800series that's coming into age - ISP lag problems (run a ping to the public DNS to see what your latency is) - High POP server that slows down? (On Jedi Covenant I have lag problems too in high pop areas) Just my 2 cents PS. I'm running on High Visual settings set to max Edited February 26, 2012 by Iron_Lord Added Coment
NaimiIflya
Your system is just above minimum spec, There are changes in 1.1.5 that should improve your performance (with a significant drop is visual eye candy) the new "Very Low" Shader Complexity. Orlacc
Lag is when you have high latency due to your internet connection. Low FPS is when your video hardware is laboring. The first thing to do is turn off shadows.
