Are amplifiers the only "special" thing about the new Onslaught armors?

 

Currently, I am wearing all Ossus Masterwork gear. I like how the set looks, and I really like the set bonus on it.

 

I have recently hit L75 and am just starting to dig into upgrading my armor. Upgrading the various modification slots on each piece seems like business as usual, but is there anything special about the new armor shells besides the amplifiers?

 

I'm just wondering if I would be spending tech fragments (and credits) on the new armor shells pretty much just because of the amps.

 

To put it another way - if I didn't care about amps, would I be missing out on anything else if I keep my Masterwork gear equipped and just keep upgrading the modification slots to get to 306?

 

Or am I missing something?

Ossus set bonuses disappear when you hit 75, and stats are crap compared to the new dropped gear... you can still keep it as an appearance set if you like, but you'll want the new set bonuses (which are on the shell)

I wouldn't worry about amplifiers until you get to 300+ level gear that you may keep for a while. Until then everything changes too quickly and the amplifiers are too weak to worry about.
