Not trying to bite the hand that feeds me, but Good Lord. They make sure to close out the thread, but they can't make sure to at least give an update as to what they're doing?

And BTW, as it turns out, I need a new comp. Make sure that yours can run it (canyourunit.com), and I spoke to a tech specialist at a PC store that said, and I quote "Yeah. eMachines can't handle it." "It" Being SWTOR, of course.
"What is the air velocity of an unladen swallow?!"

I tried everything i could find on the forums, formatted pc, new windows, everything. My game runs better all-high 16x filter, forced AA, than with full low settings. Outside warzones my fps is nice and the game is beautiful, but in warzones its horrid. The problem is my gpu activity is only 30% max in warzones (probably flashpoint too, didnt go there), maybe a little more when i enable the also broken high shadows... Funny is i get 80-90% gpu activity on my ship sometimes... Cpu is max 60%, also have to use memory cleaner to delete cache every 5min so i dont have to altf4 every now and then.

This game is quite a hungry game, twice as much as wow, which is to be expected considering the release date and graphics comparison. To anyone with crappy fps heres what I would do first.

run game
open task manager
what is the cpu and memory usage while running the game
if its 100% on either then you need a new cpu or more memory
If thats fine, check your graphics card gpu, whats that running at.
what is the temparture of your cpus and gpu, are they overheating and hence underclocking. If so new fans.
If all above is ok then check you internet what speeds are you actually getting, do online speed tests.

My laptop is a 3 year old gaming laptop and that runs at 100% cpu on this game and 2 fps, hence its cpu is not good enough.

Yes this is frustrating I would like to play the game on my laptop, but turning all options down low and changing res to lowest available in game does nothing.

My message is :
To the players, check your hardware you may think you have good pc but they depreciate very fast, a 2 year old pc is an old pc.

To bioware, you really need to support lower end pcs else your gonna lose subsciptions. Your lower settings options should mean alot more than they do. Try having a view distance setting as wow does. This saves a ton of power req. You cant turn down lowest settings but game still shows miles of senary.

The bottom line is right now this game requires resources to run with not having enough lower settings to allow older pcs to play.

Are you telling me that we are so stupid that we think our 90 years old PC can run it?

People have for god sake 4+ gb ram.

People have for god sake i5/i7 processor.

People are having problems with this, even though their graphic card are the newest in the 500 nvidia series or a mobile version of 300, which should be enough CAUSE IN BETA IT WAS. BETA BETA BETA BETEA BETA SUP BRO WE HEARD U LIKED BETA SO WE BUGGED THE **** OUT OF THE GAME SO WE CAN BETA SOME MORE DURING LAUNCH SO U CAN BETA AND BETA AND BETA BETA BETA BETA BETA

Warzones are unplayable due to massive fps loss and lag. Outside of warzones i have 100 fps, inside warzones/fleet i get 10-40.

Spoiler

They thank those of us who made constructive comments, well if my comments were not constructive enough then let me make another.. I purchased your game, $68.00, your game appears unplayable for literally 1000's of unsatisified customers. You may not like some of the negative comments but we are the customers who purchased the unplayable product and we have a right to be VERY dissappointed, and WE ARE Aand we post on your customer service forums relating our concerns and issues and we will demand that you provide us with the intended gameplay of your, heavily bugged game.

This is 2012 and if you read these forums we are mostly hardcore gamers with hardcore gamming gear and experience and a lot of us have tech experience. We know the plot, we have seen it all before, been there done that many times. Send in a ticket, get a automated reply, post our concerns, get ignored because thats the way you all roll, its become the norm.

My constructive comment, as a VERY unsatisified customer is, your game is mostly unplayable with horrific FPS/LAG or whatever the problem is and thats not the only issue, there are a lot more which I won't focus on untill the game is even playable on my capable system. I believe your game, with such a major disabilitating issue should have not been put on a shelf , for sale, in this condition and I will not be happy untill you fix it because thats your responsibility and there ARE means and organizations who can and do and will help people who have these types of issues with companies who sell defective products.. I will not waste my money on a defective product just to make you rich.. please fix this problem because I will not spend $68.00 for a paper weight.

Thats my personal opinion and as constructive as I can get under the circumstances..

Wow, thread number 4.

I think the only solution to this is to make the game all over again with a new engine.
Gogo Bioware, we'll wait 5 more years!
