What types of items could you make that'll sell well on the gtn?

So, I'm not a huge crafter, but with Artifice you can craft some item modifications such as color crystals and lightsaber hilts. There are other things you can craft as well. If you really want to make credits from crafting, I'd suggest learning crew skills to make endgame augments. I'm not sure if you can do that with Artifice. But you can craft augments with Synthweaving, Armstech, and Armormech, I believe.

You can do dye modules, but they are not really that good for revenue as too many people sell them at less than value of materials. Your best bet while leveling is to just do gathering and sell the materials.

That said, you can grab one of the professions that make augments at high level.. just make sure to have levelled up the gathering skills for the one you want. It is easy to level the tradeskill if you have a good supply of materials.

Maybe save some for yourself as you level.
