SootyTX
/agreed Many of the negative posts have 4chan written all over them and I do not blame the devs for not responding to these types of posts at all. Driz Agreed...actually, many of the long standing vtriolic anti-BW posters have "paid for by Blizzard" stamped all over them if you ask me. I mean, how long do these posters continue to sub for a game they apparently hate so much.... Devs- I want to say thank you for a fantastic game that I will be playing for many years to come. It's not perfect, I don't agree with some decisions and I wish EA wasn't involved but you guys are doing an outstanding job under an amount of pressure I don't think many really understand (and given the nature of creative people, much of it self-imposed pressure as well). Next time I'm driving through Austin I'm gonna drop off a couple cases of beer for you guys
sarazoul
I will be impressed if this game lasts another 1-2 years in this f2p model It won't obviously. We'll have to wait for bioware to see the numbers dropping before they realise. And by the time they do, the arm will already be done. Same as the server merging which was done WAY to late. The only good thing this F2P does is give potential Kotor fan who are against paying a monthly fee to try the "Kotor 3" side of the game. The story quests. Past that, F2P is pointless. A nice update for subs. Cartell is very nice and should help put this game back on track. I feel sorry for non-subs however, who surely are disappointed. chimex
I'm going to Chimex (haha!) in here and say bravo BW. Last night was a great first night of f2p. I've been socialising with so many people regarding cartel packs. Many of us have been chatting and friending each other to arrainge swapmeets when the bound cooldowns have expired! Great to see so much life reinstalled in this game and the server community! x

Anzel
We have four accounts at my house and we are all having a blast. Yes we complain here on the forums and Facebook and elsewhere. Yes we are critical... but we are all playing SWTOR and having an awesome time.
Rafaman
Kudos on 1.5, the HK-51 quest and F2P options are excellent! Keep it up devs! Looking forward to more!

LordArtemis
I'm of the opinion that we need all balanced opinions, negative and positive. I want the game to flourish in the end, and it most certainly will not if all it ever receives is blind praise... ...at the same time blind rage helps no one. I am cautiously optimistic, and cannot deny that the very fact that I am here, subbed, is due to F2P and the items they are offering, ESPECIALLY the legacy unlocks. It is how legacy should have been in the first place IMO. I commend Bioware for a job well done...great presentation, I appreciate the time you guys took to test the market out thoroughly and that you listened to feedback. The graphics for the market are great, very appealing, and the system is reasonably intuitive. So far (crosses fingers) everything seems to working pretty well. I can say for the first time in a LONG time my Sorc looks the way I think he should. That is thanks to the market. Now, that said.... I feel pretty strongly that the market should not have launched without transfers, appearance changes, name and legacy name changes and permanent but expensive unlocks for FP/Ops/Wzs. I also feel it was not wise to restrict FORMER PLAYERS to 2 bars. I think there should have been a fourth tier for the folks that purchased the game and payed for at least 3 months (side note: I would not qualify). I am not saying that the other restrictions for preferred players were bad moves...on the contrary, I think they would have been perhaps disappointing but not perceived as overly prohibitive. I think it should have been 4 bars ONLY for prior players returning the the game. Even if you offered bonus coins to purchase those bars, and indicated that you were doing so SPECIFICALLY for that purpose. Now...I do still hold to the belief that the armor should have been level one, orange adaptive with low level mods in place. Even level 10 would have been a better setup IMO. That does not mean I am against what you are currently offering...only that I think it would have had a larger impact if they had been almost purely cosmetic. I think you did a great job, I think the coin purchase options are great, sub options are great, the "card purchase" one time 60 day sub purchase is fantastic, offering the digital upgrade is great (provides a great speeder to all characters) and the markets overall presentation is really top notch. I wish I could convince you to add a third tier, or at the very least drop a few extra coins on returning players to purchase two bars. CosmicKat
Hmm... The first non-warning, non-announcement post from 'staff' in I don't know how long is a "thanks" for a positive post that could be used for ad copy? You guys aren't really helping your non-communication rep here.

Completely NOT true CK. There is a flurry of post patch posts on both sides of this one (time wise) acknowledging reported issues and asking for additonal information. They are communicating quite a bit right now...and doing a good job of it. Edited November 16, 2012 by Andryah

There is a flurry of post patch posts on both sides of this one (time wise) acknowledging reported issues and asking for additonal information. They are communicating quite a bit right now...and doing a good job of it. I looked. 10 pages of threads later, this is the only reply to a comment/question. Not that I have any issue with them commenting or saying "thanks!" to a complimentary fluff post. I'd like to see them respond to many threads, even if it's to disagree with or dispute the points raised. Two way communication, even between opposing views is important, fun, and productive. Lyynk
Thanks guys for all your hardwork! The game is looking great IMO. Of course there will always be stuff to add, fix and tweak, but I think you guys are doing a fantastic job.

Ketchum
I love you, Bioware. I may give you a hard time, but it's only because I care about you. This is a great game, it has been since the beta. Please keep up the good work, and don't pressure yourselves into anything. Take. Deep. Breaths! Synxos
Thanks guys for all your hardwork! . In 6 months, all you've gotten is NO PvP updates, a companion, one small operation, and a cash shop. There haven't been any huge updates in more than 6 months. If they spent half the time they spend thinking of how to make more money, on making the game better....they'd make more money, by keeping subs, than any cash shop. I understand you people like the game, that's subjective.....but it's an objective measure that they have NOT been working hard...... they've been putting out much less content than in the first few months. We know they're hard at work on a big expansion for next year though, and have been for some time. Expansions for MMOs only come around every 2 years or so. I agree it sucks that we haven't had more in the way of minor patch content (HK-51 took them a long time, and Cathar and Makeb still aren't here), but given how much EA have cut their team size... it's understandable. I love the game's current foundation, and although I don't think it's a great game yet, I think it can be. There's a lot of potential. I'll stick with them throughout the initial F2P months and see what they do with the extra revenue. Fingers crossed it gets them back on track, and EA allow them a larger team size again. Stradlin
Yeah actually you've done fine lately, devs:p I quit this game around February because there were 6-7 issues, small and large, that really pissed me off ever so severly. ( Most of them being Clunky nightmare UI from hell, I came back some 2 weeks back. Noticed 3 or 4 out of those have been fixed. It isn't a bad rate and I'm now able to enjoy this game. Lord_Ravenhurst
The (...) thing that is still a downer for me is the lack of a good space combat game. gumbojambalaya
So far, I haven't seen a noticeable influx of players to my server (JC). The F2P model doesn't appear to be a success in terms of bringing in new and old players back to the game. It 's likely that they're only going to make money off current players with the cartel market. I have to say though, besides the outlaw set for smugglers/imperial agents, the armor sets in general aren't particularly attractive.
Pepperawr
Hey, old time player here came back for 1.5 and to see if I'd become a regular player again. I LOVE HK - never thought I'd find a replacement comp after using a healer with my spec. Anyways I'm not 100% sure I'm going back to my raiding days but I found I really missed the story interaction, voiced NPCs and companions in other games. Same old horrid forum community is a big downer however. Hoping you guys keep the same standards for personal story and companion development in addition to endgame content - I'd heard that there were fears this was being ditched in favor of generic MMO gear treadmill content /snore Just my 2 cents. Anyways, having fun here again and thanks for a play system that allows us to at least partially partake and contribute to this game even if we're not totally sold on returning to full sub.
