Since pretty much any mob can drop them, just go kill wantonly. You'll get plenty!

I found more seemed to drop from starter worlds. I might just have been lucky, but doing rampages on the starter planets. i find quite a few dropped.

I got 20 last night from just playing the kingpin slot machine. 3 speeders and 1 companion

found mostly on heroic

Weirdly, and this may just be a coincidence, but I've got a few toons who are running through vanilla story stuff and the coins seem to drop more frequently for them.

Ya I just made a scoundrel and while doing the class quest killing a random mob I got one. For me they drop more often off trash, I had 500 kingpin tokens and I got 3 emp tokens kind of bs. Then I went on an alt he had about 200 KP tokens and I got 0 emp tokens so I gave up lol.

Yea I just played the game as usual no farming, and a hand full of emperor slots chips turned in to 2k of Kingpin chips. I got some nice prizes from the slot machines, and purchased all I wanted from the vendors with gold certificates. I still have about 77 Cartel Exchange certificates I've not spent. I need to work up my rep.

Completely anecdotal, but i'm going for legendary and noticed that when I start a new character I seem to get a good amount of Emperor's tokens as drops at first

 

My level 18 Bounty hunter has 5 Emperor's tokens so far.

 

If you're planning on making alts, this event might be the time. You can't mail the tokens around, but you can mail some of the rewards.

farming emperor tokens leads to more kingpin tokens. more kingpin tokens leads to boredom.

What are the % chances of rolling that cat mount anyway - usually they state the miniscule rate but maybe its so small that they haven't done so this time?! Did they really need to put an extra machine in the game - they could have just had the kingpin chips drop from kills as that is largely what you end up with anyway!!

Thanks, everyone. I guess we'll just do some Conquest objectives (Rampage, Heroics) on the early planets, maybe some Daily areas. I thought only the bigger enemies dropped them, but if it's anyone then it's all fair game.

 

The percentage to get the new mount has to be minuscule. She's been playing all of the machines for a while now, got some Emperor jackpots, but it's always a speeder or the old companion. That's why we just want to get some more tokens by actually playing the game, instead of wasting time in the casino. We'll see how it goes.

Guess I was lucky like that but I got the mount in less than 5 spins.

 

Also I don't think it really hurts to have a new machine, you can never lose on this one, worst case you get your token back. Either way, it's Cartel / golden certificates or 50 kingpin tokens.

I won that mount tonight, was showing a friend the casino, showing him how to spend his coins, and boom. Kingpin's predator.

I have been working on conquest with some of my higher levels by going to the first planets for the easy kills & easy conquest accomplishments. On those planets the drop rate seems to be extrememely high in comparison to doing regular level stuff such as your own flashpoints & whatever. Heroics on these planets netted me 15 coins in two or 3 hours. Balmorra was one. Korriban another.

Got another 5 tokens just continuing doing the story quests on my Smuggler, had to goto NS for one so I hit the casino. First roll on the emp machine got the mount lol, that's #3, I'm usually never this lucky. But doing most of the heroics in each zone I've gotten another 5 coins. So it looks like Heroics are a good place to get them too, at least 7 of them have come from just those instances.

At this point, I'm inclined to ask 'how do I get these emperor tokens to stop dropping'.

 

Every time I get one it taunts me to run yet another character over to Nar Shadaa , which inevitability leads to said character gaining a couple of hundred kingpin tokens, which leads to a loss of time as I try my damnedest to spend them before 'winning' yet more emperors tokens and re-starting the whole cycle.

At this point, I'm inclined to ask 'how do I get these emperor tokens to stop dropping'.

Did 6 tatooine heroics and received one emperor token.

Ran CZ-198 twice and nothing.

They tend to drop when you're not actually trying to farm them lol. Make an alt and just go through the story quests you'll probably get quite a bit more than just doing only heroics for them. I got a bunch more since I posted last, not trying to farm them just doing the story quests and leveling my smuggler.

 

Out of 20 ish tokens I got like 700 KP tokens and turned around and used them got 8 Emp tokens, used those and got 350 KP back. I did get like 4 wraiths and 2 rodian comps but they were from the KP slots, and I've already got alot of those so I just banked it. Gonna take a break for a while from the slots, I had like 200 ish golden tickets and 110 cartel certs. Ended up just buying a bunch of decos, although I don't really do the strongholds right now I will eventually so I got like 1-2 of each thing.

 

When does the event end? End of August is what I thought.

I believe they have altered the world drop rates for Emp Tokens. Where previously what you said was true I can confirm, now it appears not and the drops rates on those planets are no better than any other.

Not sure of the odds, but I won this mount only a few days ago. but I still enjoy my rancor mount more which is 30 gold certs from the vendor.
