Cor_Vandar
Ok, so I only have experience with four types of vehicles but out of those, two of them have been so wince-inducingly horrible that I've abandoned using them despite really liking the look of them. The first was the Meirm Hyacinth. It is utterly perfect for my scoundrel. Suits him to a T. But... that sound... Toot! Toot! Nope. And the Ikas Falchion is so wonderfully fantastic for my jedi guardian but hearing it start up I keep thinking there's a petrol-powered whipper-snipper at work. Honestly, does anyone think these are good sounds? Did these go through any sort of approval process or were they just thrown at an intern who was having a bad day? XiamaraSimi
Weapon sounds are just as bad... Rangehunter Blaster Pistol looks so nice... then you use it... and you sound like your shooting the gun that shoots the ping pong balls at the carnival... Poink! Poink! Poink! OddballEasyEight
What I particularly dislike about the speeder sounds (except that toot-toot horn sound one model makes) is that there is no real correlation between the startup sound and the actual movement sound. reclipsed
Agree with above posters. I do like the speeder that sounds like a old dirt bike trying to be started.
Cor_Vandar
Wouldn't these sounds be client-side? Is there an override folder? Could we change the sounds?
Prototypemind
The mounts with good sounds are indeed few and far between, same as the weaponry.
Ferrety
The 'toot toot' on the Meirm mount's is fantastic! I've never really paid enough attention to the mounting sounds for it to be an issue for me, I think they sound fine.

unK_
The first was the Meirm Hyacinth. It is utterly perfect for my scoundrel. Suits him to a T. But... that sound... Toot! Toot! Actually, once I realized what is the source of the "toot toot" sound, I promptly went to GTN and bought this mount, it's great
AlrikFassbauer
But... that sound... Toot! Toot! I love that sound ! But I wasn't able to find out which one produces this "toot toot" sound ? Thank you, now I've got at least a clue. My favourite sound comes from an vehicle I know as the Rendili "Nightshade" or so ... Because I play SWTOR in German language I'm not sure whether my translation is correct ... The Rendili Shadow (the almost purely vblack one) doesn't create the same sound. Edit : Yes, my translation is correct : It's the Rendili Nightshade. I just love that "purring" sound !
-Damask-
What you should be asking is why these lazy *** devs keep assigning the rakghoul animation to every new bipedal pet that comes along. Dwedtoof, which you can only get as a guaranteed drop from 10 stack dredtooth, runs around like a f***ing rakghoul, totally out of character for him and for any drouk, almost making his acquisition and possession into a big joke and slap in the face. Especially before the level increase to 55 when DT10 was actually a big deal.; and the devs cant even be bothered to give him an appropriate animation that includes, oh idk, MOVES A DROUK ACTUALLY DOES, like jumping to Zorn or smashing the ground or skulking around while electrified. There are many other pets that share the same rakghoul animation and they just think were all to stupid to notice or too dumb to care. It makes me not even want to bother getting new pets if they cant give two sh**s about make them unique. This is a disgrace!
