Treasure hunting lockboxes yeild negative returns..so why shouldn't slicing

Slicers are complaining that some of their missions yield negative returns now....but treasure hunting for lockboxes has always had a chance to do this. You spend 1000 to send dude out to get a lockbox and it comes back with 800 or less...why are they complaining so much?

Because Lockboxes for Treasure hunting return Equipment (at a loss, if you try to vendor them, admittedly), the money (if any) is a bonus/consolation prize.

Slicing Lockboxes however give money and only money unless you crit. Also Treasure Hunting also produces Gifts (or Gift Fragments) and Gemstones. Slicing only produces lockboxes,

Even with the item TH Lockboxes return a loss.

Every green item (which is 90%+ of all yields) are simply vendor trash.

The blue relics are decent, but still become so frequent\common (as its basically the only non-green you'll get), you don't really get much on the GTN, and it certainly won't cover any losses you've already made up to that point.

Other than items, you get Artifice schematics, of which there is an entire 4 types in the game, making them all practically worthless, as there are about as rare as dirt.

It seems the only use for Tresure Hunting is for gems. Which is fine... but if you're going to give it multiple purposes, atleast make them all useful/viable.

You also get relics (level depending on level of mission run). And before the Legacy vendor started selling them you could also (albeit rarely) get orange belts and bracers (which you can still get).
