where to find the PTS server status. Since I don't know when to login and when not. suddenly on and then suddenly off without any support or information to return to.

PTS unavailable now 09/10/2020

PTS is currently down. It went down with Tuesday's maintenance. It would be absolutely fabulous if they used their official forums, or the game launcher, to announce these things, but instead they announced it on their Twitter.

 

 

Whether you use Twitter or not (you do not even need an account in order to read it), since they do tend to post information to their Twitter that never makes it to the official forums it is a good idea to check it periodically. You can bookmark the below link to get back to it easily.

Thanks for that info. You would think game info would be on the official page and not exclusively on a third-party site. Have they always used Twitter for announcements like this one? Or is this because people are working from home these days and some of their people might not have access to updating the official site?

They are inconsistent. Sometimes announcements will be made on the forums and sometimes only on Twitter. It is best to check both regularly.
