So i am having a small issue on Odessen

As you all know, in Odessen, there are NPC's to turn in the crate boxes obtained from heroics.

Ancient artifacts, Alien Research etc... to Dr.Oggurobb, Sana-Rae etc...

When I turn in these crates i get negative reputation and no loot box.

is this normal? Am i doing something wrong?

why would a turn in mission give negative rep and zero reward?

what am i missing?

Do not hit the escape key after giving one of the alliance specialists a crate. Hitting escape undoes it.

Click the "see you later" link or whatever it says at the bottom when you're done.

This, with the added wrinkle that if you do it by accident when you are already at rank 20 with that Specialist (or even if you manage to reach rank 20 in this session), you still lose *allù the points, even the ones that you got when already rank 20, which means that you are no longer rank 20.

Here is what i do and see.

- Approach Dr. Oggurobb, click him

- Dialogue box opens, select option 3 "[turn in alien research]

- there are 3 separate panes. 1 "You Give" is the Crate, 2nd "You Recieve" shows the loot, 3rd "Reactions" shows rep earned. There are 2 buttons at the bottom of the window, Continue & Cancel

NOTE: From what i can tell the reward icon in the "You Recieve" window is fadded (possibly indicating no reward)

As caution i right click all 3 icon panes, and left click all 3 icon panes. There is no change in the fadded colors of the Reward.

- Click Continue

- another dialoge box opens, i select 3 "ill let you get back to work".

negative 500 influence, no reward.

Repeat the exact same steps. 2nd time, the reward icon is now brigthly colored.

- do the exact same thing. this time i get 500 influence and a reward box.

I have already dropped from influence level 4 to 3 with one of the NPC's.

at no point did i hit esc. i do however press spacebar to fast forward through the NPC's speachs. I might have to stop that....

And when you look in the inventory, are the boxes gone? Also did you send in a bug report?

This might be your issue.

I hand in dozens of these and the only time you lose rep is if you inadvertently click an incorrect button when you end the turn-in conversation. If you turn in loads in one go and get to the screen where "continue" is faded out, you must remember to click cancel and they exit via option 3 as usual or you will lose all rep and have to do the whole lot again.

If you think you're doing the hand-ins & exiting correctly then you need to do a ticket and/or bug report.
