I've always had an interest in trying out the Commando class because of the assault cannon but I'm hesitant about replaying the story. Tbh I don't remember much from my first time playing the story but I'm debating on either using my token to get a lvl 65 Commando instantly or start from lvl 1 and go from there. Any suggestions?

If you start from 1, the "class" part of the story (from the starter world up to the end of Corellia) is different for each "base" class. Troopers don't have to deal with all that Voidwolf / Rogun / etc. business.
