Kaggath Tournament - Felonious Empire vs Dark Imperium

Except she starts on Raxus. And a Hutt isn't Atris. They are naturally resistant to these things, and Aruk even had experience dealing with several Jedi, including Master Kolar.

Beni, can we have some estimates of the fleets size? I know Sel has 60+ but what is my size compared to hers. I would imagine she has me beat, but what are your thoughts?

Jedi, as they progress in Power and Mind skills of their own, gain resistance to such things too... You'd also think a Jedi would be able to sense someone in their minds. Again, Traya doesn't have to be as successful for it to work. All we need is Aruk having a mini-meltdown or having doubts, wondering how powerful Traya is, for this to work. Think about it, if vader chooses A, It's a likely defection because Aruk knows he can't stop Traya, or if it's B, the whole Galaxy see's what lengths Vader goes to...

IF you guys let Traya have the power she deserves :p

Doesn't matter either, no matter how fast your fleet is you can't get to Raxus before Traya settles down in the core...

I think yours would be larger.

As far as I know you have at least 300 ships to challenge the republic and the galactic empire in the matter they did it seems like no less then 300 would be neccissary.

Indeed, I imagine to start with you have a larger fleet.

However, numbers mean nothing if you're surrounded... :D

I think this could be useful....

As a person, Darth Traya was self-reliant, manipulative, and wary of the intentions of others. She used her skills at manipulation to maneuver herself into a position of power at the Trayus Academy, and later used these skills to control several of Surik's companions in order to further her own agenda.

He was also able to manipulate his foes so they would play directly into his hands.

Cronal was deeply involved in power plays and the political games that were necessary for a person in his position to survive within Palpatine's court.

As such, he often had complex strategies and played on the weaknesses of his foes.

Both are very manipulative. Both like to be in charge, and the planner. I see this being a big problem. Traya will expect Cronal to listen to her plan. Cronal will be doing his best to gain power and undermine Traya until he has power. Both will be used and be the user. Neither will like this. In fact, I see Traya eliminating Cronal all together before he gains strength. Remember, he has control over much of your forces, Sel.

Also, Sel, I doubt Traya will even use the assassin droids. She hates droids, finds them to be weak, and uneffecient.

Traya also seemed to hold droids at a low regard.

Due to her lack of preference in droids, Traya regarded T3-M4 with disdain and begrudging tolerance.

Since Traya controls what you would be manufacturing, I highly doubt she would even allow the droids to be created, let alone used.

Cronal sat perfectly fine beneath Palpatine and Vader, there's no need to think he'd make a power play any other time than when the war is over. I just don't see a defection. At all. Cronal knows he can't control the assassins, and probably not half of the fleet either, He knows he couldn't win without Traya.

She's quoted as saying T3-M4 "Has his uses" and that HK-47 could be an asset. She'd use them if necessary, not like she'd have to give the orders anyway. Cronal or Trench would gladly do it, and hey, if it gets results, Traya won't care.

He wasn't just sitting however. He was actively making power plays. The only reason for not going higher than Vader was because he wanted to stay near Palps, and not be sent farther away. He was also not going higher as he wanted to keep plotting and scheming and doing what he wanted while not being bothered.

We are also forgetting that he wants to destroy the galaxy. Traya was against Nihilus doing this, and I don't see why Traya would accept Cronal doing it either. The bottom line is, Cronal has his own agenda, he wouldn't be following Traya's for too long.

True. But Traya would first try with her assassins. Then as a last result use the droids.

EDIT: I'm still wondering how you even plan on landing on Bastion. Will the shields be down? Or the turrets off? Or the Golan system?

OK I'm going to make some observations on both sides:

Felonious Empire

Bastion: this is the planet which Aruk is going to be holed up on. As the name suggests it is indeed a fortress world with nigh impenetrable defenses rivaling that of Coruscant. I'd assume this went beyond mere armature and is likely has several high security bunkers which would provide a significant defense against any assassination attempts.

Emperor's Royal Guard: another line of defense from assassination, not only are these highly trained military specialists trained to take any direct threats head on but their elite units are more than equipped to tackle even the most undetectable of attackers. We are talking Shadow Guards and Imperial Sovereign Protectors, the elite of the elite, and most importantly, Force sensitive. Perfectly suited to sensing invisible threats and dispatching them.

Crystal gravfield trap: that's right people, its back. With a combined influence and connections possessed by Aruk the Great and the InterGalactic Banking Clan I am confident they can track one down, and make the purchase. And with this in their hands they will be well equipped to tackle the threat of Malgus' Stealth Fleet.

Zann Consortium Navy: lets not ignore the elephant in the room here. The Felonious Empire has the numbers advantage in terms of naval forces. And with the Dark Imperium's forces spread thin, whats to stop the FE swooping in and taking over their planets. In a couple of days the FE could have overwhelming numbers flooding the Raxus system and bringing this Kaggath to a swift conclusion.

The Dark Imperium

Rivarly: Traya can handle Cronal. Yes he was a skilled manipulator who liked to be control, but so was Sidious, and yet did they come to blows? No. Why? Because Sidious was vastly more powerful than him and could have him killed in an instant. The situation is no different here. There is a reason Traya was leader of the Sith Triumvirate, she kept Sion and Nihilus in line by being stronger, only when Nihilus eclipsed her powers was she overthrown. Yet look how easily she subdued Sion upon her return. A display of power is all Traya will need to keep Cronal in line, bearing in mind that it is she who has the loyalty of her assassins.

Stealth Attacks: the Imperium's biggest advantage is its ability to literally strike from the shadows. Invisible assassins flanked by invisible soldiers flying in invisible ships is one hell of a combination. They can enter a planets orbit and deploy forces on the planet undetected, and remain undetected until they are on top of their enemy.

I see this turning into a good old fashioned war. The DE are going to invade the FEs worlds - bypassing their fleet advantages with stealth forces. While the FE are going to invade the DEs world, bulldozing through their defenses and commencing ground invasions. Eventually one faction is going to find its resources drying up and its forces isolated.

Perhaps, but again, he wouldn't do it until the war is over. And she would happily use him for her own gain until this war was done, and then dispose of him. She let Nihilus kill all those Jedi simply because she wanted them gone, before arranging his death.

She's not a fool. She wouldn't let personal Hatred get in the way, and she's wise enough to know when to listen to her Ally's, and her Second in Command's council.

  • No outside help of any kind, the combatants cannot call upon assets outside their power base or influence.
  • No outside involvement, other powers will not and cannot interrupt or affect the battle, for the purpose of argument they are non-existent.

Crystal Grav Field Trap? No idea how Aruk would get one. He has no connections that had them, Vader doesn't either, because as far as I'm aware only the Imperial Remnant had one, (Which if anything means Cronal should get it :p)

If you can find me any case where Aruk or IGBC had one, then go for it, but I'm not aware of any cases, probably just lack of knowledge but i'd like to know none the less....

The crystal field gravtrap is a rare and expensive piece of technology, not an asset specifically related to anyone faction It is the sort of technology that can be acquired on the black market or through a more legal process. Aruk the Great and the IGBC provide access to these avenues, which are within their spheres of influence.

Yes it's rare piece, but there aren't more than 1-2 floating around at a time... They're incredible valuable, and always taken up by some large Empire, or large Military body or government. Hell, if the New Republic can't even get their hands on one without taking it from the Remnant, just how easy are they to find, even on the black market?

Besides, acquiring it would take time, and there is the possibility that Cronal/Traya/Trench could find it before the FE do, realizing it's a weapon that could seal their doom, and either steal it or buy it... (not sure how much they are, it might just have to be steal :D)

The New Republic does not have access to the black market, or the connections of the IGBC. But yes it would take time. I doubt however that the DE has the connections to intercept such a purchase.

Awww Is Traya not counting as "Connections"? :D

I know this is going to stir the pot a little here, but, Traya's skill in shatterpoint... She'd look at her own Military, and realize that this Machine is her forces own shatterpoint.

Now, She also has an incredible gift of sight, able to forsee many things, is it so far stretched to say if she was constantly scouring the Galaxy, that she would not eventually find the owner of said machine?

Also, with Santhe/Sienar at their backs, they could theoretically afford it.

Then, she sets up an ambush, kills the guy(s) and takes it.

Of course, the question is: Would Traya or the IGBC/Aruk find it first, and would they find out about her stealth fleet when it was already too late? Could The Open Circle Fleet and the Santhe/Sienar Technology ships last long enough to hold the stealth fleet in reserve, leaving it as a surprise, so Traya can annihilate their only weakness before they're even revealed?

Unlikely, she might discover its existence. But her stills did not extend to any form of psychometry. I don't believe she's capable of tracing those related to the object.

You could be right, I really wasn't sure. I mean, she could of course Save the stealth fleet for when it matters... I know she can't trace those Related to the object, but are you sure she can't follow the trail like anyone else perusing the black market would?

Could she not Discover someone who knew of its location, then send HK/Cronal/Assassins to said location to get it for her, or destroy it?

Query: Do I theoretically own Santhe/Sienar Technologies? The IGBC was the bank for all major companies. It had so much money Palpatine made sure it was the only company to remain from the CIS, as if it was closed, the galaxy would face a depression like no other.

San/Sienar Tech would most likely have used the IGBC as its way to store money. I know, speculation, but highly likely. They were part of the same organization, so they would know each other. They also would likely do business with each other. The IGBC likely controls all the profits the Santhe/Sienar Tech makes/has made. Simply close there account, and the company goes bankrupt, unable to support itself as a company.

I'm guessing this isn't allowed in the Kaggath, but it does make sense. I implore you to think it over. It is something that my faction could feasibly do, and it is in my sphere of influence.

Oh god, please no.

I doubt that would happen anyway, before they went to war, or even got close Santhe/Sienar would withdraw everything...

Besides, that would be terrible business for the IGBC, they're a business, they'd know by doing that they could destroy themselves, if Traya was to win she would liquidate their assets...

Another Question. Raxus Secundus was the seat of the Seperatists Parliament... The "Capital World" so to speak, are we going to assume they have Planetary shields etc or are we going to say Not? I dont know if any information exists on it, It makes sense, but I'm preparing for a possible battle Scenario and would like it clarified now, if possible.

I understand. I was just thinking aloud. However, it is possible. And I think the IGBC would close the door before Santhe/Sienar would know what happened. All it takes is one button.... :rak_01:

Not sure how much good planetary shields will do when the FE has Aggressor-class Star Destroyers, who can bombard the planet from orbit with its massive cannon thing. It shoots one blue energy weapon thing to disable shields/technology, then one red energy weapon with explosive force.

That weapon could potentially disable a section of the planetary shield, then send the plasma weapon through before it regenerates.

Ehhhhhhhhhhhhh..... I doubt it... I played Empire at War as well ;) The Ion weapon didn't take out the entirety of a Shielded ship, so i doubt it would take out a Planetary Shield..
