What to do?

Hello all!

My brother and I just got back into the game this week. We both have level 65 characters, and are just looking for some direction. What should we be doing to gear ourselves and prepare for end game content?

We stopped playing at the start of Scum and Villany, and have played randomly throughout. We basically just need to know what to work on, what activities to do for gearing and what the end game actually entails now.

Thanks everyone!

With Onslaught being released tomorrow, I'd say your best option is to start new level 1 characters and play from the beginning. That will re-familiarize yourselves with the game and the new changes at the same time. Levelling is very quick these days (if you want it to be).
Hold water, a sieve may not, but hold another sieve, it will - Yoda..

Hey man thanks for the response, we both have 65s of our preferred class, so leveling isn't too high on the list for us. More along the lines of what current content/slightly old content do we need to be doing to catch up.

I would focus on leveling and not worry about gearing. The gear you get naturally from leveling is more than sufficient to complete the storylines. You will level faster than you can complete the storylines too. Opinions vary, markedly so, on whether or not those storylines are worth completing vs.. skipping ahead. Personally, I would play through it once, but that's your call.

Every character will automatically get a complete set of Ilvl 268 gear simply by completing the the main Onslaught story. You and your brother (and the rest of us) can all then worry about vertical gearing up to Ilvl 306, and what is BiS, etc. then.

Put differently, there is a very quick catch-up mechanic gear wise, at least to Ilvl 268, when we all will be in the same boat.

Welcome back,

Dasty

Park any toons your have on a starter planet or your ship.
I'm moving my most-used toons to their starting planets in case we get the "can only play on starter planets" message despite the download completing tomorrow. Happened to me more than once.

I'm assuming you're using the streaming client if that is occurring?

Yes. I'm one of those odd ducks who prefers it.

Why not continuing on the content from where you left, so that you have a good idea of the story, before beginning Onslaught content.
Your quest journal should tell you on which story you are (purple), and when you complete a story it should update automatically to tell you which quest next to pick from your ship's mission console.

I also like to use some timeline to make sure I follow the story progression. You can google it, or here's a few
